This is my story, the one I'd said I'd be embarrassed if I posted it. An' this story goes out to my friend Danflorreguba, and his loyalty to squirrels! ;) Oh, and I'll give you a little hint on the relatives. Her last name is Salamander.

Chapter 1
That Girl Squirrel

The class inspected the new student. A little squirrel, harmless as a fly, walked into the fun and book filled room, blushing. As the female students had worn black and green jumpers, so had she. Mrs. Gurtrib, the second grade teacher, introduced her,"Class, this is Sarah Salamander and I want you to welcome her." The class gave a variety of hellos and welcomes and whats up. Sarah just whispered back,"Hi." The teacher gave her a seat in the back, around all the shelves filled with level two reading books. There was a cupboard that was supposedly filled with text books, considering the large amount around the room. The door had a flower sticker that a student had drawn. The windows, located to the far left of Sarah,  were decorated with self portraits. Below the windows more cupboards beheld. One door was swung open, and on the inside were ironically, i pods and erasers, pens, dolls, markers, and coins. Probably taken from the students by the teacher Sarah thought. She looked around the room to the back, taking in every little detail. A bulletin with geography facts of Maryland, the state flag, and a red back round that made the pictures stand out. Sarah's eyes wandered back to the windows. In the very center a cross, and a flag of America were placed. Never exactly listening to the teacher, Sarah picked up detail by detail from the room. The teacher resumed class, teaching how to multiply numbers in math. Sarah turned to find a cat drawing a flower, in the same style of the flower on the door. Caroline, a domestic cat, school wiz, and everyone's' good friend, was seated there. On the other side were the school bullies, the band called "Hurtin' Hire." They all seemed tough and mean. Two mice, one fox, a weasel and two otters. It was not hard to identify them because they all had the word "Hurt" on the neck and arm. The leader, an otter, gave Sarah a "I'm watchin you" look, but Sarah put on her red glare, snarling to soft for anyone to hear. Class passed by, but she kept getting quick glances from some squirrels, and they seemed to be trying to figure out something.

* * *

P.E. class came after math. The teacher Mr. Higle, a wildcat, blew the whistle around his red shirt. Everyone huddled up. The gymnasium was a basketball court with bleachers. The coach announced that they were playing dodge ball, at that everyone but Sarah got into a big hubbub. "Settle down," said Mr. Higle."All right I choose the teams. One, two, one, two..." Everyone who got the number one was on the far side of the court. "Ohh, in the name of lieia, why do we always play dodge ball?" Sarah muttered to herself, but Caroline could hear. "Hey keep your head up." Sarah quickly looked up to see a ball flying towards her. Caroline passed her a ball, but Sarah was quicker than everyone thought. She could catch on to things quite fast and knew when someone would call a heads up. "Hey, my name is Caroline. What's yours?" But right there and then Mr. Higle blew his whistle to start. A swarm went after the balls laid out in the middle of the court. Sarah just watched them all, tut tutting.
"Hey I never got an answer."
Sarah turned,"What?"
   "Your name, I asked."
   "Sarah...Salamander."
Caroline was smiling at her name. She had a red and gold coat. Her big ears stuck out of her blond hair. Sarah put on a smile, but Caroline yelled,
   "Watch out!"
Sarah quickly turned around to see a red ball flying right for her. She back flipped narrowly missing the bullet.
Thump
She landed gracefully to see Caroline have a look of confusion and astonishment on her face.
   "Er. . ."
"What?" Sarah seemed to not care about Caroline's reaction.
Whiizzzz
Caroline was almost nailed by a flying ball. Her attention was back to the game, but she noticed that Sarah was flipping around the court, catching, ducking, throwing, and climbing especially. Sarah would climb the back wall, around the pipes, and shoot bombs down onto the other team, and when she threw the last ball she had in her hands, she would flip down and land with one arm and both legs, like a lizard would stand. All around cheers were arising. All chance for talk was blocked out by encouragement and boisterousness.

"Yeah! Keep your head up but look around too!"
   "Don't let them fool ye!'"
   "Look out behind you!"

She found a small chant too and recited out loud.

Duck, weave, and flip so well,
Climb and jump like a squirrel.
Look out for these red bullets,
Just don't get in a fit,
When I throw yet so far,
It travels like a shooting star.
Into you and knocks you out,
When you're don't cry and pout.

Caroline being almost assassinated by balls, was finally the only person left on the team, next to Sarah. There were five others on the opposite team. Sarah jumped down from the pipes and caught a ball that had been thrown by a mole, leaving only four to go. Sarah spun around, jumping at the same time, and throwing the ball quicker than the eye could see, knocking a fox out. He doubled over, but quickly recovered. Sarah had put a spin on the ball to slow it down just before it hit the fox. Now all that remained was an otter, a vole, and a weasel. Caroline just avoided balls as Sarah went to work. The vole threw the ball that bounced off the fox. Sarah avoided it with a spin and caught another ball thrown by the weasel!
"Hmf. Your pathetic squirrel," the vole said wildly. "Come stand by the line and we'll see what you are truly made of."
Sarah took the taunt. But she retaliated.
"You are a chance taking vole, as many are, but you do not show your spirit either. If I played at my full potential you all would be out by now."
"Hmf, alright let's see if you can win it on the line then."

Holding a ball Sarah walked up to the line. The vole was in the middle of half court and threw. Sarah was quick. Flipping to the side, spinning, she landed.
   "Lieeiiaa!"
Faster than the vole could react, the ball spun. Around to the far side, and coming back around to hit the vole in the back. Now all these things Sarah was doing were not visible to anyone. When she through it looked like a normal throw to the normal eye. But if your vision was keener then and eagle's only could you see it. The light that followed the ball, allowing you to track the ball's position. But the vole was already out. It was too late for anybody to even try to focus on the speeding ball. The vole had been shocked with the throw. Sarah took a stance as the vole left the court. Now the court was in full array. The noise was incomprehensible. Sarah jumped hard and flipped into the air back to where Caroline was. But nobody thought it was anything. It looked just like she had walked back. Now while the vole and squirrel were challenging each other, the otter and cat went for a fight. When Sarah looked over, she realized it. That otter was the person that stared at her! Hmf, she thought, maybe a challenge.
She heard the vole call out,"Brickish, don't let your guard down. That squirrel is a challenge. Now instead of aiming for Caroline the otter called Brickish aimed for Sarah.
Whizzzz!
Zooooom!

Brickish attacked with a barrage of balls. Sarah barely missed the last throw, having to stretch her back in and out. Finally after several throws she found her chance, but decided to make things more interesting by not trying as hard. A ball bounced next to her, and as she picked it up, Caroline was hit.
It was totally uncalled for, because Brickish had been focusing on Sarah for a while, leaving Caroline off guard. Most of the time, Caroline just stood there while the two went at each other, but she was not ready for a sudden change in prey.
"Hmm. I have an idea," Sarah muffled. "Hehe. I know something you don't. Huurya!"
She threw with a small grunt. Not to fast, not to slow, just right. Or in her case, just right for winning. Brickish dodged picked up the ball, and deflected an incoming tomato. The ball squished small then bounced off the other one, leaving it to be picked up.
"Har, missus. I think I know something you don't. You know what?"
"Heh. I don't really care, cause I know. You have a record of never losing in this, eh?"
Brickish started to sweat. Not only was it true, but it was infuriating, hearing somebody mock your streak.

Chapter 2
Dodgeball And A Little Recipe For Disaster

The mouse who threw the ball at Sarah never saw her flip backwards, for he was to busy dodging incoming bullets. After P.E. was over they had three classes until lunch, but Sarah did not go, for she had hop-skipped down to the library. She was to happy that her team won in dodgeball, so little did she take note of footsteps following her. When she entered the library she searched for her favorite series, Redwall. ( ;) ) She took Pearls of Lutra off the shelf and began reading. Twas to hard to stand and read so she decided to sit down against the bookshelf instead. How she loved the poems Mr. Jacques made. While reading she recited her favorite one.
"Run from me, hide from me,
Still my shafts will find you,
All you vermin of the sea,
I must bring swift death too,
Lutra's Holt has not yet gone,
By my bow I swear it so,
I alone will carry on,
Wreaking vengance where I go.
Run from me, hide from me,
Hear my longbow singing,
Grath of Lutra's family,
Sleep to you is bringing."
At least she thought that was how it was written. She was never sure about the last two lines, but she need not worry about it. She busily read on, unaware of the aproaching animals. And this was unsual for Sarah, because she could always smell others from a distance. Getting to only page eight a shadow came over her. When she looked up to see a burly otter above her, she closed the book. In a gruff voice the Hurtin' Hire leader spoke,"Ello' me hearty. You took me out in dodgeball and not only that, broke me' record in' winning." The otter pounded her fist. Unsure of what was going on, Sarah stood up and put the book back onto the shelf. When she did she noticed a vole peeking his head around the ahelves. Sarah was ready for the trick. She slid under her leg and climbed up the shelves.
"Yerrer! Get her!"
Sarah was pulled back by her tail in a swift heave. A male vole in the Hurtin' Hire group, named Veron pinned her to the ground.
"You challenge Brickish," Veron snarled,"our leader and you'll be squashed like a bug."
Then Brickish put her shoe upon Sarah's chest, and scratched her face.
"Well, well, well. A tough un'. This little un' will get a little suprise."
Sarah didn't speak. Silent as a falling leaf, she glared through red eyes. Normally they were blue, but her blood roused.
"You don't want to fight me," Sarah finally said with a little blood from the scratch," you don't know."
"Know what eh'? I could gut yer' through right now!"
Brickish winded up. Sarah acted quickly, with ease and lightning speed she countered the punch with a punch.
"Yeeeeoowwhh...." Before Brickish had time to scream from the counter attack, Sarah appeared behind her and knocked her over with a charged punch. Climbing with the skills of a born squirrel, she scaled the shelves and ran across the wood tops.
    "Ryishdidyish."
A sword appeared in hand and she cut the otter's face from the top of the shelf, who had doubled over from the punches. She escaped the raging Hurtin' crew, and ran out of the library. Ir was unusual that all of the band had appeared at once. It was even more unusual that a vole pinned her because she had not noticed him in class. Looking behind her, she did not see the hare coming out of the boys bathroom.
Thwump!
Knocking him flat she tripped and fell onto the janitor's mop that had been layed out near the bucket of water.
"Er. Darn it. Got water on my new clothes."
Running outside in the warm air for recess, she spotted Caroline on the soccer fields.

Chapter 3
Friends Beyond Friends

Caroline was playing soccer in the field with some other boys and girls. Dribbling the ball over under and around the opposite teams players, she kicked with all her might to the goal's corner.
Pinngg!
Fllliiipp
It bounced off the metal bar into the net.
    "Hurrah!"
    "Yes!"
    "Yippee!"
A variation of cheers arose from the team.
"Alright, five zip! We are totally creaming." Caroline's cheering stopped when she spotted Sarah walking over to the swing set next to the deserted basketball courts. She hopped off the feild and walked over to the black-top.
"Hey where ya' going," a cheery voice yelled out. Caroline turned around to answer to Seakit, a brown fox with a yellow shirt and blue shorts,"Over there." She pointed to the swings where Sarah was seated. Forgeting the game Seakit was hit by the soccer ball and fell on the grass.
    "Hehe. Serves you right."
A few young animals occupied the slides and monkey bars.
"Sarah. Why aren't you playing soccer with us?"
"Because," Sarah answered,"I don't know how and plus, that's not part of my daily routine. I. . . Well let me put it this way. There is more to me that meets the eye."
    "Huh?"
"Well. . . Hmf. I'm just not a person to be friends with."
"Why? Why should you not be a friend? I saw what you did in dodgeball. Your like a hero."
"Well there ya go! I'm a hero. I help out with the police and crimes all this stuff."
"What do you mean? Robberys? You mean like detective stuff?"
    "Yeah."
"But how do you get around to places like that?" Caroline was completely puzzled.
"That's not for you to know. I can't tell anybody about my life. Really."
"Come on. I'll be your friend. Somebody to lean on."
    Caroline broke into song.

Some, times in our lives,
We all have pain.
We all have, sorrow.
But, if we are strong,
And I'll be your friend,
Somebody to lean on.

Lean on me,
And I'll be your friend. . ."

Then she was cut off.
"Okay! Okay! Fine. You really wanna know?" Sarah became very serius, but Caroline just nodded.
"Well... You see, I can get around because I can fly."
"What? No you can't! Only birds can. That's impossible,"Caroline spoke with confusion and puzzlement.
"You wanna bet,"Sarah nodded," I can. I don't know why but I can."
"Never, I won't believe it until I see it. No you can't! No you can't! No you can't!"
"Yes I can, yes I can, yes I can. Hehe, your too jumbled up in the real world. Gotta let go. Suit yourself then. Shall I demonstrate?"
"Tch. Go try. Just don't die."
Sarah got up from the swing. Swiftly jumping off one footpaw, she seemed to never come down, and she didn't! Caroline couldn't believe it, even though it was right in front of her.
"Uhh...Whooaahh! Radical."
Sarah gracefully came down landing on her left shoe, smiling like a baby.
"Yup, I'm not as I appear. Hey, wanna come over to my house Saturday? I could explain a lot more stuff there."
"Sure,"Caroline answered."If you want just call me Caro. Okay?"
"Yup." Smiling, Sarah jumped off the ground, and flew like a bajillion feet to the trees surrounding the soccer field. In a white light that followed her, it disappeared after her. Hopping around in the trees, the light finally stopped. A note was scribbled where she had been standing a moment ago:

Sarah Salamander
11206 Gritsaw Ct.
Blooshton, MD, 29745

"Er geez. What a crazy day. I want Chickfile. Er, why do I ryhme? Such a waste of time."
Caroline got up from the swings and headed back for the soccer game.

* * *

Sarah high up in an oak tree smiled. She had a friend of the few she knew. She could tell Caro was no friend, she was a friend beyond any friend in the world possible. No one else would understand her life as well as Caro could. She was a special cat, fallen into a line of fate. Climbing to the tip top of the tree, she looked at the little mice, foxes, otters, and whatnot, moving along the field.

What? That Sarah can fly? It will come along as I get deeper in the story. Plus, she is part flying squirrel. ;)

It is just over all kinda weird. It's your story though, that is what's important.

Chapter 4
Hot N' Spicy Cheese Chips

Saturday!
The word sounded wonderful to school students, but that was different for Caroline. It was stupendous! First she got to sleep in until eleven o' clock. Then she could walk over to Hobby Works, her favorite store. All the rockets and kytes, plains and models a child could ask for. But this Saturday was going to be different.

* * *

Caroline's car pulled up the driveway. "Come on in." Sarah's mother invited the Burtrin's in the white painted house. Caroline had on blue shorts and T'shirt. Mrs. Salamander spoke with Mrs. Burtrin about some parent issues or such. From the living room Sarah came out and took Caroline up the wooden stairs.
"Come on, I've got something to show you."
Hopping up the stairs two at a time, Caroline had the burden of carrying the big green and brown bag that held her rockets and parachutes! Over the week Sarah and Caroline decided that she should bring rockets from Hobby Works and they'd launch them in the backyard. Finally after walking across an endless hallway they reached Sarah's room.
"So Caro, this is my room. Not much, but more than enough."
"Cool," Caroline answered in awe,"In my room I wish I had that many posters."
The room had countless posters. Many of them were of famous books like Sherlock Voles, The Hardy Foxes, and Nancy Otter. Pink walls made the place feel friendly. A closet was filled with all sorts of skirts and dresses, but the drawers in the dressers, had any normal clothes. The dresser was littered with notes and papers, magnifying glasses and pens, but mostly books.
"Caro, come here a sec'. See this closet right here? Well look at this."
Moving aside skirts, and dresses, and all types of hangers, she came upon a special outfit, customized for her size. Caroline was stupefied, not for the outfit, but the outfit itself. It was a Sherlock Vole outfit, fit for Sarah. The hat which Caroline just noticed the hat Sarah constantly wore matched the outfit.
"Don't be so suprised. I made it myself. Cool though right?"
Caroline regained speech,"Radical."
"Okay, now that I got to show you that, I'm gonna make some food."
"What kind,"Caroline thought interestingly.
"You'll see." Smiling they both made the way down to the kitchen. While Sarah climbed to the top of the fridge to get chips, Caroline asked,"Chips? Hmm. I thought you said make food?"
"I did."
She grabbed nacho cheese, cheddar cheese, hot sauce, pepper flakes, paparika, chili powder, onion powder, and jalepenios, from the fridge and cupboards.
"My, my, with all that you are going to set a house to fire," Caroline exclaimed.
"Patience, young un'. I cook a lot at home."She started mixing the ingredients in a bowl."Mmmm. This is going to be good. But maybe I'll need a little...lemon juice! Yup! And maybe a little bit of salsa."
Flying about, adding ingredients to the peculiar smelling mixture, Sarah worked for two minutes.
"All right now pop this delicacy into microwave for thirty seconds and enjoy."
Caroline was awfully confused, for the things Sarah added were very unlikely.
"Sarah, why did you put wine in the mixture?"
Sarah's blue eyes twinkled as she pull out the food. "Here, take a chip from the bag and dip it in."
Looking at the bowl filled with random foods, Caroline took a chip and dipped it in. The melted cheese stretched and ripped. Slowly Caroline chewed. A face of pure relish and enjoyment sprouted on her face. Swallowing hard she stared at Sarah, but Sarah was just grinning like a baby.
"Mmmmmm! Oh this is amazing! Mmmff, mm. Oh can I have the recipe for this little cheese delight?"
"Hahahahahaaarahar! Hahaha!"
Sarah fell on the laughing so hard, tears streamed down her cheeks. No matter how hard she tried, she could not help laughing at the sight of Caroline, chompin away at the chips and cheese. Caroline's face was as red as a jalepenio.
"Hahaha! Caro you are gonna turn to fire. After eating them, ya know what happens? Hahaha!"
Caroline's mouth started to get hot.
"Er. No...Whooh it's hot in here. Wow, this is hot! Ow. Ow. Oh my gosh this is HOT!" Starting to panic fromn the intense spicyness, Caro asked quickly," Owooww! Oh really! Oh the seasons where is the water? Owowowow!"
Sarah fell to the ground from laughing too hard. "Hahaha! It's in the,  harhar!"
"Where," Caroline asked stamping on the ground frantically, with a face as red as blood. Finally Sarah burst out,"Fridge!" But the cat with a angry but sadenned face had already gone to the sink and shot the water down her mouth.

* * *

Later in the day, at about three o' clock, they went to the back yard. Caroline was feeling better and laughed at the whole prank. She brought out her rockets and set up the rocketing stand.
"Sarah, can you tell me why you fight crime and fly and do crazy things now?"
"Sure...It's a long story." She sat down next to her. "When I was born..."

Chapter 5
The Story

"A long time ago, when I was born, I was any normal animal. I had friends and knew almost everyone at my school. But that all changed one day. My mother was driving home with me from a Romeo and Juliet play. Mom was driving through a neighborhood. So everything was fine and quiet, and I was looking out the window and I saw a plane flying overhead. It was a biplane, but something was stuck to the bottom of it. Suddenly I realized, it was on fire! And it was falling right out of the sky, heading right for us. I couldn't speak, for my voice was lost. I could only stare in awe. My mother didn't know, but she heard a rocket like noise, and a propeller spinning. 'Sarah, what is that noise?' She seemed to yell because the noise was getting louder as the plane came nearer. I whimpered out 'Umm...Mom! What is that thing in the sky?' My mom looked out the window and screamed. Then I remember a big Bang!Then...I was flying through the air. I landed on my head on the hard sidewalk, I didn't feel a thing though. I looked at the blown up car and plane. Then realization hit me. The thing stuck on the bottom of the plane was a bomb! I ran around to find mom. Then I found her with cuts and bruises all over, on a sidewalk bench. Unconsciously she moaned. Then I spotted a crocodile falling from the sky too. But he was going slow because of the eject parachute. He was very muscular and big. With a cruel grin on his face he stared at me, with red blue eyes. I looked open-mouthed at him. A terrorist! That was what he was. Suddenly, I got angry. Then I felt my blood pump. The world turned a shade of blue. My mouth foamed and I sprinted after him. Pulling a gun from his side, he pointed at me. I stopped my sprinting. Boom! He shot. As though time slowed down I saw it, and screaming wildly, I swung my arm and the bullet deflected off my hand. Sweating, he threw the gun aside and pulled a katana out of a sheath. Pointing it at me he ran. I prepared myself, and taking a stance, I found a sword in my hand too. Clash! I swung downward and split his sword in two. But he retaliated quickly. Taking up the two halves he now had two swords. I howled and snarled at him, then stabbed him. He gave a cry of pain and doubled over. He started to run away, but I focused all my strength on him. In a small blue orb, I disappeared, and popped up in front of his way. Screeching with blood flowing from his side, he vanished like smoke. From then on my mom went to the hospital and I had my aunt take care of me. Then...I learned all these ability's. I don't know how either."
Sarah, was silent for a bit.
"Then...When I went back to school...Everyone, even the teachers knew I had changed. I was humiliated in front of the whole class...I was walking through the corridors and I was ripped of all my dignity. They pinned me to the ground and cut and scratched at me. In gym, everyone was aiming for me. People on my own team. I just let them try, but I was to elusive. They grabbed all my limbs and I was knocked senseless from the school bully's throwing.Even my friends seemed to reject me. So...I ran away..."

Chapter 6
Thunderstruck and Forsaken

Sarah ran down the corridors of the schools blue walls and lockers, with her slinged backpack flying up and down with every step. All the halls were empty and silent, but as she ran quickly by, papers stuck on boards with pins flew around. She reached the end of Holy Cross High School, and opened the farthest door, that had a golden door knob and a painting of a roller coaster on the door's window. Silent as a shadow she slipped around, unseen, about the animal packed room. Mr. Larwsen, the scince teacher, and a smart bobcar, turned around.
"...And that is how the genetic code of animals will duplicate." Ripping her notebook out of the backpack, Sarah quickly scribbled down the words on the board. Mr. Larwsen continued,"Now that the end of the year has arrived, I'd like to say..."
Briiinnggg!
The bell for the end of the day rung and rang in every one present ears. A mutter of noise came around as all the animals packed up and went out of the class. "But remember,"Mr. L, as Sarah named him, said loudly,"we have the rest of summer off and have fun. So don't show up tomorrow."
Sarah beat the rush to the lockers and took out her sword, strapped the sheath on her shoulder, and closed the locker. The end of the semester was finally over, and her soft more year, gone. She ran out the door to see Caroline standing there.
"Ready Caro?"
"Finally I get to go sleep in and golf and go to the beach."
"Hmf," Sarah smiled." As if. You always want to go to Bethany now, and that is not normal for a cat to like the ocean."
"Tch. Rad n' sad, not for the fad."
"Er...Okay then. Well. I have to go."
"K then. Catch yer later."
With that Caroline walked off to her bike and went home. Sarah watched her go. Since she had to go to help out at the firemen house, she could not stay long either. She pulled out her sword from it's sheath, and the silver blade gleamed fantastically in the sunlight. The hilt with light sky blue crystals, coming out of the side and the bottom, the green leather handel, all made the sword one of a kind. She held it to her face to see her reflection. Not making a sound. Quietly. But she saw another face, in the reflection, a squirrel like herself, but male. He was talking to some others on the courtyard. Sheathing the sword she turned around, and locked at the group walking towards her. The leader, a sturdy fox called Brightear, walked up to her.
"Yello, miss. Hows yer day?"
But Sarah was not listening, for she locked her eyes on the squirrel, unsure what to say. He was drawing a tree. Brightear spoke again,"Ello? Yer okay missie? Wot 'ave yer a sword fer?"
Sarah still was not listening, but walked backward instead, pulling out her sword at ready. "Farcin, come 'ere a sec. The miss 'ere seems to be locked on yer. Snap 'er outa it."
The squirrel, the one named Farcin and drawing the tree, looked and Sarah and spoke a single word,"Hello?"
Sarah dropped the sword, and ran backwards, receding from the group, leaving the sword clattering in the ground. She flew off the ground, heading for the fire house.
What is this feeling she thought, gritting her teeth, embarrased. How did I get to this level of...? What is this tug in my gut? It feels...
She trailed off into her thoughts.

* * *

When Sarah reached the fire station, Ahri was there to meet her. Ahri was a squirrel too and fought alongside firefighters.
"Sarah! How has the bag o' buttons been doing? I heard you got the Award Of Appreciation last week in school. Am I correct?"
Sarah replied,"As if. I always get that stupid junk. I don't care as long as I get A's on my report card, which I did."
"Good."
"Can I talk to you privately about something? I kind of forsook some one to get here."
"Sure. But what have you done?"
"I don't know. Can we go to your room and talk about this first?"
Ahri smiled,"Sure, but don't think I don't know what you want to talk about. Just follow me. K?"
"K."
Sarah and Ahri went inside the red fire house.
"Go up the stairs to my room and wait there. I am going to make some hot chocolate." Ahri went over to the cupboards and took out two mugs.
"Hot chocolate in the summer? That is ridiculous."
"No it's not, it's delicious."
Ahri always loved to eat chocolate, but only ate so much so that she would not get sick. Sarah started to climb up the pole in the ceiling, with any skills of climbing.
"As if. I'm just going to take the short way. Up."

Sarah was seated on the bean bag chair, and sunk into it with relish. Ahri walked the stairs carefully, with the silver tray holding the steaming cups.
"So Sarah, what did you want to talk about? Something tells me it's about school and someone you met."
Just then Sarah sat up, with a look of astonishment.
"How'd you know?"
Ahri smiled. "You know I can read your mind. I'm your guardian angel. I know everything about you, except why you like him."
Sarah was still confused.
"What?"
"Your crushing." Ahri handed Sarah the cup of steaming hot chocolate.
"I still don't follow."
"Haha! You don't know? I thought all high-schoolers did."
"Er...What? I didn't hang around any body in middle school, so I must be pretty lost."
"Okay, crushing is like liking somebody. Haha. Follow now?"
"O...K..."
Ahri fell over on the floor on the room, and laughed so hard she cried. Her cup was quickly caught out of the air by Sarah, and she placed it on a nearby desk.
"Hahaha! You really aren't joking?"
"I'm afraid not."
This only encouraged Ahri to laugh even more. When she finished having a laughing spell, she explained all of it to Sarah.
"Okay, liking somebody, that is pretty hard to explain. So if you like somebody, you...Hmm...Hard to explain, but okay. So a feeling for them, like you want to be around them. Umm...Er...Well, I used to like a guy but I moved to another school so I never saw him again. Clear things up a bit yet?"
"Look, Ahri, it's not that. It's more like a vibration."
"Yeah! Exactly."
"But I don't get it. How are you supposed to get rid of it?"
"You really don't actually."
Sarah fell over onto the bean bag chair and groaned.
"Uhh. You mean I have to go the rest of my life like this?"
"No. Look, why don't you just ask for his number or something. I'm no good at this love thing."
"That's it!"
Sarah popped back up from the chair.
"That's the word I was trying to remember Ahri! Love."
"There yer go. You love him. Whatever. Just ask him out or something. I don't know."
Ahri sipped down her hot chocolate. Sarah sat thinking for a second, with her eyes closed. Suddenly, she opened her eyes and scrambled up from the chair.
"Ahri! I got it. But I have to go now. See you later."
Before Ahri had a chance to speak, Sarah held out her hand and in a flash of light her sword appeared in hand. She ran down the steps past the kitchen and out the door. Ahri sat in her room and sighed aloud, smiling at the same time.
"That un'. She will have a hard time for summer. Hehe, ahh. She won't give a scratch for scrapes."

(This are my first draft actually writing tge story, even though it's been in my head fer years.)

Chapter 7
A Call For Police

Throughout the years that Sarah lived, she had become very famous and well known around Blooshton, especially the police officers. As she had always dreamed, Sarah was an expert detective, but that payed a price. Very often, a crocidile named Crokitmet, that had been imprisoned for twenty years, would try to drop a bomb or set off a nuclear explosion. But thanks to Sarah, it never happened. That is how Sarah and the croc, became arch enemies. She hated him, he hated her, and this always let out to a fight.
Good against evil.
And this is precisely what when Sarah was flying home from Ahri's meet. She had her cellphone in her pocket and her sword in hand, but her cellphone vibrated for a call. Stoppong in mid-air, she pulled out her phone to see who was calling. The screen said "Police" and she flipped it open.
    "Sarah speaking."
A static answer came back.
"Sarah, come over right now to New York. We have a problem."
"Why? What's the problem? I'm in Maryland right now. Did someone rob the Capital One bank again?"
"No. It's worse than that. Now Renekton is going around shooting and has grenades attached to his fur."
Sarah almost dropped her phone into the clouds passing by.
"I'll be right over. Later General Kip."
    "Over."
Sarah sheathed her sword into the sheath on her back, and popped the phone into her pocket. She faced herself north. Staring straight ahead, seeing farther than the eye could see. Finally she took a stance in air. All around her, light seemed to be absorbed, little small orbs of light, being sucked into her, like a magnet. Her brown fur started to glow yellow, and her eyes turned to a turquoise with a red perimeter. Then she took of faster than she would normally fly. Almost like a rocket. Sarah was going so fast, she broke the sound barrier and an enormous boom bounced off the earth. If she had to get to New York, she had better done it fast. A trail of yellow light followed as she was lost in sight.

(This chapter is still not finished, so readers be patient.)

Interesting concept. I did like the way that the first few chapters are centered around her early school life and how she tries to cope with her gifts, whilst trying to keep them to herself at the same time.

CRITIQUE

I had noticed that you tried to pan out Sarah's early life over the course of around three / four chapters. You could've done that in about two - three maximum.

That one chapter you set aside for Sarah's "origins", that could've been a time when Caroline invited Sarah over to her house or something and it could've been a conversation between them. Remember all of those secret little stories we used to tell our best friends when we were kids?

I noticed that when it came to describing the scenes (especially in the classroom in Chapter 1), you seemed to assume "Seen one classroom - seen them all." Then you went on to describe how many pages the books have. If you tell people, there are books in the room (on a coffee table, a nightstand or a bookshelf) they will just picture BOOKS. Regardless of how many pages they have.

Again, when it came to the dodge-ball (or PAIN-ball as I remember it in school :P ) scenes, I think you could've used more language there, to describe the atmosphere. What was it like for the guys on both teams ducking, bobbing and weaving through that barrage of balls? How did Sarah feel to nail someone? How did the bully feel inside to being called "Out" in the game?

Things to Remember

Characters need to have motivation and/or emotion to drive their motives. WHY are they doing this?

Try to steer away from being too descriptive when it comes to the little details. E.G. the number of pages in a book.

Always remember: THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG WAY TO WRITE A STORY. Something that a few of us aspiring authors need to understand. The most harshest critic is ALWAYS gonna be yourself.
Problems in life are never resolved by distancing yourself from them. Escape is never the safest plan nor the safest place.
