The summer solstice

OOC: ok so i started this the night before because most of y'all are on before im awake (time difference, its a pain lol). so if you are on Redwall before tomorrow (the 20th) do not post and wait till the morning. i will start the first post today (the 19th) so every one can get started in the morning (before i awake).

PS: and make sure you check out the OOC before posting!!! it will tell you where your character is, which is very important, thanks

PSS: the academy is on a tall mountin that is always covered with snow. however during the summer pink roses and other flowers bloom through the snow.

BIC:

Black December

December walked through the maze of hallways, looking for the exit outside. The cold breeze of another early morning sent a tingling sensation down her spine. But today was different, today was the first day of summer.. the summer solstice. Once outside she saw two roses and picked them both, she headed back to her dorm and found Liesal "sleeping" on the bottom bunk. December placed one of the roses on Liesal waiting for her to jump, surprisingly she didn't. "I know your not alseep." she whispered to Liesal, no one sleeps in the Academy but the strongest such as herself... Liesal had only been here for a few months and still hasn't claimed much dominance.

Razer sat on a mossy log next to a warm fire. Though her fur was thick and cold-proof, the fire helped to warm her up. The brawny otter was eating a roast thrush. Few birds could be found so far north, but Razer had managed to find and kill one while it was on the ground, searching for soft lining for its nest. "But it didn't get any," Razer thought as she finished eating the carcass and used one of the bones to pick her sharp teeth. She lay back on the ground and stared at the rising sun. She usually slept in, but this time she had woken up early to travel to the Academy. She tossed the bird bones into the fire and with her icy breath blew it out.

Razer started her trek, starting to wonder if this was the best idea. She was a traveler and very restless when trepped in one place too long. But that wasn't the main problem. "I follow my own orders," she thought. "If anyone thinks he can tell me what to do, I'll-" she snarled and ripped off a tree branch with claws more like a wildcat's than an otter's.

"I suppose it's for the best," she thought. "I'll get stronger at the academy." She sighed and continued on her way.

OOC:Sorry, I forgot to use italics for the thoughts. I'll try to remember next time.

[Redwaller]

A silent form walked through the immense desert of snow. Dranfor Rofnard shouldered his axe and broke into a jog towards a hole in the snow. He jumped right into it and settled down for the setting night. He sighed, it would be a long road before he arrived at the academy. Rofnard was a black fox with white tail tips and white paws. He was big and lean, he had the force of a badger and the speed of an hawk in the air. For weapons he had a double-headed axe and a sword. Dranfor came from the North but had learn to speak South, altho' he still spoke Northlander.

OOC: Is it too confusing?

OOC: hole dug in the snow is rather vague.  How close to the academy is the hole?

@Redwaller: the hole is at the bottom of the Academy but it was late so i guessed he just stayed there lol sorry for being rather vague, it was late and i need to post all that before we started.

@Skyblade, how far do you think you are from the Academy?

She saw the hole, approaching it slowly. From no more than ten feet away see saw into it, a Fox lay inside, she couldn't see any weapons. The former student pulled out a sword and took a few steps closer. SNAP!! a branch under the snow had broken under her paw, she jumped towards the hole not wanting to waste any time before the fox would respond.

OOC: make it what you want. i pictured it inside the woods just minutes away from the bottom of the mountain.

Seth always slept in a somewhat intimidating way, to scare away anyone who was planning to kill him in his sleep.  However hard it is to control oneself in sleep, Seth figured out how to sleep in the way that makes him look awake anyway.

OOC: incredibly oversized paragraph about how my character sleeps!  That was fun.

Former student

The badger saw Seth sitting by a tree in a hole dug into the snow. "trespasser!" He yelled while charging Seth with a axe. (he thinks Seth is awake, by now i think he would be haha)

OOC:

the former students live in a small village down in the woods, all who pass through the woods are counted trespassers.

another good thing that comes from Seth's sleeping habits are that he would wake up easily if someone does try because they would think that they have nothing to lose by making sound.  Needless to say, he woke up, then, seeing the badger charging, looked to see if anyone else is around

OOC: waiting for unnamed ex-student to react, and if any other ex-student is around.

The badger saw Seth open his eyes and threw his axe between them hoping to hit its mark.

Seth ducked, then grabbed the ax.  He finally said "this ax wasn't well crafted, if you let me live, I'll improve this weapon.  Deal?"

[Griffen]

Former student (around Seth.)

The ferret had a way with words which is why the Badger didn't continue fighting. "then let me bring you back to my village, it has a place that you may work on it. once done you may pass through these woods with out my people attacking you, ever again.. deal?"

OOC: am i allowed to kill former students?  I assume so, so tell me if I'm wrong and I'll fix this post.

BIC: as a reply, Seth added "no, the rules of the deal never said that i can't kill you, but I'll keep my promise of reforging the ax." as he tried to kill the badger.  He was lucky, even though he has never used an ax before, that badgers where such easy targets.

[Redwaller]

Rofnard jumped out of the hole, sword at the ready, he plunged forward right towards the creature.
