In my opinion, Redwall warriors are kind of like Jedi.  They know how to control their strength and be peace loving at the same time.  Constance is kind of like that.  She can show mercy, that is why shes on the good side.

But a trending trait of the good guys through out the books is too let the bad guys go free as long as they promise never to do bad again.  Some really bad people like Cluny and Sela totally deserve to be just killed by the good guys and they are.

I guess she did.  Sela was probably known far and wide as an evil fox, or it is possible that Constance was on a rampage.

Well, Sela tried to sell out the Abbey to Cluny lol that's pretty bad in my book.  Constance is no Abbess, her duty is to defend the Abbey and Sela nearly let Cluny in.
