@Jukka the Sling I think you would really like Sword Art Online. The only reason I stopped watching it was because looking ahead it had too much magic in it for me (but no more than LOTR does).

sword art online starts off really well, but gets filled with fan pandering (eg. random butt shots, awkward romance/sexual tension, and borderline adult themes). and yes magic in the second half of the first season.

Also the main character is a huge Mary Sue with almost no character development and the romance feels forced and stilted.

Yeah. SAO IS still one of my favorites, but they really should have worked on the characters and the love story a lot more.
