Yaaaayyyy, I'm not the only one who remembers that gif war. And yeah,  remember that Bucky Barnes phase too. ;)

I've been lurking on the old forum, looking at stuff from the halcyon days of yore, and it's kinda weird to me that back in September 2014, @rachel25 was going through the same crazed Bucky Barnes phase I currently am enduring and at the time I barely even noticed or cared. O_______O  If only I had known her pain at the time, I could have been a shoulder to lean on.  *sobs regretfully* I think she once had "I'm with you 'til the end of the line" as her personal text and I assumed it was from Supernatural.  *sobs at how ignorant 15-year-old me was*

Also, anyone remember when Rach and Rain had that really long Supernatural GIF showdown?  I dunno - ancient forum history is fascinating to me.

And I dunno why I'm even posting this but hey.

you're going to get over the bucky barnes phase like rachel did

Pffft.  Lives?  Who needs those?
One day I won't be here anymore.

Well, I seriously don't want you to leave.  I've already lost Soren. ;_;

...On a more serious note, it's kinda sad to me that we've lost so many members over the years. :/

Ehh its a normal part of forums- some people leave because they end up becoming too busy, bored, etc... But you also get new members in. I have no idea what this forum was like a few years ago, I think it went online in 2011 or thereabouts, in terms of activity or if it was ever as active as some of the bigger RoC forums. Now when members start leaving en mass and no new ones come in that's when it becomes a problem and the forum turns into a dust bowl (what happened with the rest of the RoC forums).

Why did Soren leave exactly?

I can't say I knew the guy or ever really talked to him but his farewell post here http://www.loamhedgeabbey.com/index.php?topic=1185.0 is a bit weird. He doesn't want emails or any communication even with the people he became close to, in his own words, on this forum. His reason for leaving is he stated its time to move on. I can only speculate but perhaps he thinks he has outgrown Redwall, although the series isn't discussed much on here to begin with. But that why cut off all communication with people, you've been talking to and known for years, if you still like them ?

Yeah, the problem with our forum though is that new members never actually become active. It's a flip of a coin as to whether they actually post at all, and even if they do make a few posts, that's all 80% of new members actually do. Make five or so posts in their first two days, then disappear for months on end.

People keep on joining the RAFF, though. I'm sure that will change once we moved in full-time.

Hope so. Out of the 58 members that joined after me...

11 are gagged.
3 have no posts, but are Loamhedge accounts.
39 have not posted at all.
Galli has 23 posts, and is active on Loamhedge.
1 has 13 posts.
1 has 3 posts.
2 have 1 post each.

So, 8.6% of all members who joined after me are/were actually (semi-)active, and many of the older members haven't been around for a long time.

Could be better.  :-\
