Well, you ARE a tough act to follow ;) You're killin' me, Juan. :p

We will pull some tricks to keep the users coming :) And hopefully keep the (actual) Spambots out.

Well, I seriously don't want you to leave.  I've already lost Soren. ;_;

Why did Soren leave exactly?
I can't say I knew the guy or ever really talked to him but his farewell post here http://www.loamhedgeabbey.com/index.php?topic=1185.0 is a bit weird. He doesn't want emails or any communication even with the people he became close to, in his own words, on this forum. His reason for leaving is he stated its time to move on. I can only speculate but perhaps he thinks he has outgrown Redwall, although the series isn't discussed much on here to begin with. But that why cut off all communication with people, you've been talking to and known for years, if you still like them ?
I'm not judging him for his choices or whatever, but I do know he's a Jehovah Witness, and that may have something to do with it. . . Somewhat similar to what Wylder discussed as why he would leave a while before he did.

I did wonder if it might have something to do with ministry work.  Or maybe his parents wanted him to leave.  I really don't know.  And I hate not knowing.

I get it that if due to ministerial/preaching work he has less or no time to come on here, that makes sense he wouldn't be active. Its a pretty common reason people stop doing something. But why deliberately cut all ties with anyone from here, even the people he considered to be his friends? What would being a Jehovah's Witness have to do with that?

I ask because its not a religious group I am very familiar with- they're fairly common where I live and I know some basic things about them but I never really bothered to look or read about their beliefs in great detail...

Now by no means am I judging him or anything, but it is interesting to see what makes people tick or see the reason for a person's action...

The Skarzs

Yeah, that's why we're just as confused.

Oh you're talking about people leaving forums.  I don't know anything about Jehova's Witnesses or why Soren may have left (though I guess the second thing is obvious since I'm a newb and y'all don't even know).

When I leave forums, it's usually because I just stop thinking to check them one day.  There was one that I was active on for about 5 years, though, and only left around a month or so ago.  I was a moderator there actually, but myself and several of the other moderators and some regular members started getting harassed by some trolls and the site-owner decided that they were good contributing members of the forum even though there were no problems before they showed up. So I got fired and they never got punished and some of my friends got banned for being upset over having been harassed and nothing coming from it. So I don't go there anymore.

Shame that, I had some friends there I can't contact elsewhere.

That sucks, Andy. Maybe it is time for you to try and convince your friends to join Discord (or this forum... that would be awesome, actually).

I don't think they've read Redwall or I would try to get them to come here. :P

One of them would probably like it, though, I may have to see if I can get someone to talk to them for me since I'm not going back there.

Spoiler
I have been with the community for two years and only now I'm reading the books. Reading them is encouraged, but not mandatory.

We need to find this poor man and let him know that Jukka is after him. If he doesn't start running now, there's no hope.
