I just watched a movie about someone addicted to a substance so badly he would risk physical harm to get even just a taste. After not being able to get it himself, he went to his friend, who attempted to stop him from taking the substance, but to no avail. He overdosed and was forced to stay off of it until the affects wore off, only to fall back into the horrible addiction right afterwards.

Anyone want to guess the name of it?
