I was wondering what you all thought about the ending of High Rhulain and what happened to Tiria and Leatho. It sounded like they liked eachother and I think they eventually got married.
The reason I think this is because they had a ceremony for Brinty together (in which he put his paw over hers) and they also were teasing eachother playfully on the way to Holt Summerdell. Also in Tiria's letter to Abbess Lycian, she mentioned Leatho a lot. I just got the idea, by the way that Brian Jacques wrote about them, that they might have liked eachother and maybe got married?
I'd love to hear what others  think :D

Don't let Tiria Wildlough(the user) see this. :D As for me, I quite like the pairing, and am open to characters or fanfictions about it, but I'm skeptical about it in the canon world, because, 1) Tiria had the duties of a queen to see to, and that would be alot of responsibility, with little time to flirt. ;) 2) Leatho was fair older than her, don't know exactly how much.

I'm not putting up a very convincing argument, am I? :)

Tiria was a river otter and Leatho was a sea otter, if that makes any difference, and Leatho was older than Tiria.
I think they were just good friends, and Leatho showed Tiria the death ceremony because he saw that she was upset and wanted to help.

It could have worked. Remember, the Redwall books are set in the times where it was probably okay to marry someone older than you. Leatho Shellhound is awesome. I would like to see their relationship start  out as a "get on each other's nerves" thing for a while, that way it's not too sappy and boring.

Ok ok wait a moment, I think Tiria and I should stay as only friends.  :)

If they got married, Skipper could give Tiria away, since he's her father.,

Ha, do they even have wedings?

Tam and Martin

I think they have some sort of ceremony. In the original Redwall book, Abbot Mortimor on his death bed told Matthias to marry Cornflower. They never describe the weddings however (probably because they are animals) but I do think they have something like a wedding.

Right. Weddings in Redwall (if you could picture it that way) most likely aren't like people weddings, they may lean more into just being more simple.

Oh right, a wedding between two different kinds of otter species would be funny.
