Sea Otters -- River Otters

Sea Otters. Shellhounds, Axehounds, Galedeeps and Wavedogs!

I think that Shellhound was a river otter. And in High Rhulain the Galedeeps seemed more like river otters to me. But Finnbarr was definitely a sea otter.

I voted Sea Otters. I dunno why, just somethin' that appeals to me about all those pirates

Yeah, it says so in the book! Plus, the Galedeeps were sea otters as well.

There seems to be two very strong camps....heaven forbid you find yourself on the wrong side in the other camp!

River otters. So many of the Skippers were river otters. And Rillflag, Filorn, Mhera and Deyna were all river otters. Then, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Keyla a river otter? Folgrim? Bragoon?

This is going to sound off, but it... might just come down to statistics for me. There were awesome sea otters. Leatho Shellhound and all of the otters of Green Isle are great characters. But there are just so many more river otters in the books that the number of wonderfully-written characters I'd have to vote against by favoring the sea otters far outweighs the number of characters I'd have to vote against by favoring the river otters.
