Vash stiffened, not moving an inch more. "Well, hopin' that you're not another vermin, I'm here to rescue the dibbun." he whispered, trying not to alert anyone.

Zef relaxed slightly. He lowered his bow and loosened the string. "Seasons know why, but I believe ye. Seems I've found an ally. All right, let's go. What about the squirrel, though?"

[Quickpaw]

"I don't know, I've never trusted her though." he whispered. Then he turned around, seeing the shrew. He looked a little familiar, like Vash had seen him a little bit earlier.

OOC: I thought Thomas shot at you? Zef was shooting siege towers at the time.

OOC: Oh yeah, whoops!

OOC: Tom was near to Zef at the time, it's possible that Vash saw him while replying to Toms warning shot.

OOC: True. It's fine with me if Vash thinks Zef shot at him. I was just confused. (As per usual. )

BIC: Zef shrugged. Well, we can always kill 'er later. Unless she causes trouble while we're rescuing the liddle'un. Then we can kill her right away." He moved silently closer to the prisoners. Placing a paw over Jen's mouth, Zef shook him gently.

Vash quietly followed him, making sure no beast was watching.

Jen didn't seem to be waking up, so Zef went ahead and cut the rope that held the babe to the post. Then he quickly tied a loose gag around Jen's mouth- he didn't want to scare the poor mite, but couldn't have him waking up loudly either- and hefted him over his shoulder.

Quickpaw looked around for signs of guards as he untied Jen. "Wow. It almost looks like you're kidnapping him!" Vash joked quietly.

Zef scowled. "Shut yer gob an' do somethin' useful. Why don't ye untie the squirrel?"

[Quickpaw]

"Why would I free her?" He asked Zef, scowling back at the shrew.

[KitrallStreamrippler]

"If'n she's workin' fer the vermin, she can tell us about them an' their plans. If'n she ain't, then it does no 'arm t'rescue her. An' because we need to hurry." He paused. "Please," he muttered grudgingly.

"Fine." Vash muttered, rolling his eyes. The weasel cut the albino squirrel free, and didn't give her a chance too escape. He put his paw over Taili's muzzle and the knife to her back, pulling her out of sight.

Zef followed furtively. "Good. Now we've just got t' make it back t' Redwall. The guard is over there-" he gestured, "-so we just needs to go some paces around 'im an' he won't hear a thing. Let's go." The old shrew walked quietly and gracefully off into the trees.
