Do you Believe in Bigfoot?

Yes, I believe in Bigfoot's existence
No, I dont believe in Bigfoot's existence
I think that its possable...
I'm not sure what to believe!

This topic is were you just say if you believe in Bigfoot or not, reasons for belief or disbelief, intresting things about Bigfoot, stuff like that.
Personly, I don't know what to believe....yet. I just got intrested in the subject after reading a list of legindary creatures. Since then, I've been looking up on Bigfoot, finding out facts and stuff like that. I've found stuff that suggests that Bigfoot exists, like The Patterson-Gimlin Film, and stuff that disproves Bigfoot. But, intrestingly, I found a chart on Wikipedia that shows the Bigfoot sighting rates in the USA and Canada. Here it is:

As you can see, Washington State has the highest Bigfoot sightings rates than anywere else. And it just so happens that I live in Washington.... just saying :-\
And for those who dont know what the Patterson-Gimlin Film is a video that was recorded by Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin of "Bigfoot" though it is still a mystery if it was really Bigfoot or just a hoax. Here's the video of it:

I think it's all to get people excited. I don't believe in Bigfoot or that he ever exsisted but I think it is all a hoax.

You think that the video of Bigfoot is a hoax? I'm not sure what to think on the video. From one angle, it just seems like common sence that Bigfoot is just a story, but from another angle, it looks like that it could be possable. BTW, here's a link to another YouTube video that explores deeper into the Patterson-Gimlin Film. Heres the link:

Quote from: Brian Dunning...Even accepting that a "small percentage" of videos have been "honestly captured"(instead of a hoax) doesn't do a thing to prove the existence of Bigfoot. It just proves that someone has captured something not immediately identifiable on camera, and that someone else — in this case the FBFB and the broader Bigfoot community — has gathered these unidentifiable anomalies together and labeled them as evidence for something that they have no better evidence for.

Basically, all it's saying, is that if someone captured Sasquatch on tape, they may be doing a hoax, are simply mistaken by a bear/human making a hoax, or may of actually caught Sasquatch on tape. However, the likelihood of it actually being Bigfoot is smaller than it being a hoax. Understand?

well its like this maby the goverment doesnt want us to know about these things
yet like area 51 there might be a bigfoot in there.

Just saying what? That you're the one going out dressed in a Bigfoot costume causing the "sightings".  ;)

"Bigfoot" is the American version, but there's versions in other countries too, the other most famous being the Yeti / "Abominable Snowman" in the mountains around Tibet. Like the Loch Ness monster, UFOs, ghosts, crop circles, etc. there's absolutely zero actual proof, and most of the so-called "evidence" is nothing but a hoax or mistaken identity. If these things existed, there'd have to be a huge family of them to have survived this long, and they'd have been found by now.

As for that film ... it's HUGELY unlikely that a "real" Bigfoot would simply be walking calmly away once he'd seen a group of noisy humans trailing after him ... he'd have run and hide long before they saw him.

On a side-note, there is a Star Wars "what if" story that has Han Solo killed when crashes the Millennium Falcon into some North American forest on Earth a couple of centuries ago, and that the native Americans saw Chewbacca walking around the woods moaning in grief and called him Bigfoot. Later in the story Indiana Jones discovers the wreckage of the the Millennium Falcon.  :)

its probaly a man in the suit hoax!

Buzz_Bumble

Hoax, man in a suit, mis-identifying a brown / Grizzly bear, liars, drunken idiots, etc. There's a few possibilities which answer most so-called "evidence".

There was a TV show a few years ago that looked at various things and they concluded that although they wouldn't say for certain, it was definitely possible that the Patterson-Gimlin film is simply someone in a suit. They analysed things like the walk, the stride length, etc.

Mattio

I think that vid is a hoax because they say it was the original version and  there was music added those two things don't fit. And big foot certainly would run if he saw humans

Didn't you wach the video that was with my link, Mattio? It said that it would be virtully impossable for it to be a human (to see why, just wach the video). But that dosn't mean that it was Bigfoot. But then what could it be?
also, Bigfoot didn't really have a reason to run if he had seen Patterson recording him. If Bigfoot exists, then he would be use to seeing other creatures waching him, making it reasonable that Bigfoot didn't run away.

Intresting theorie...if it was only true :-\
BTW, no, I'm not "Bigfoot". But no offence taken :)

But why would the goverment keep Bigfoot from the public? Its already known by the Public the possabliety of there being a Bigfoot. Why keep it under lock and key?

Area 51 doesn't exist.

And Bigfoot doesn't exist.

"Area 51" itself does exist ... it's a legitimate US military compund in the (Nevada?) desert. It's doesn't contain UFOs or aliens though.

QuoteAnd Bigfoot doesn't exist.

Yep, "Bigfoot" is a load of nonsense, just like UFOs, ghosts, Loch Ness Monster and all the other bogeymen stories.   :)

But Bigfoot very well might be real! The thought of the existence of Bigfoot isn't like most other monster legends. Take the Loch Ness monster, for example. Thats something that both Common Sence and Real-Life Facts say that it cant exists. But its different with Bigfoot. The existence of Bigfoot is something that only Common Sence tells you its not real. But with Facts, it dosn't ether deny Bigfoots existence nor verify it, making it possable that Bigfoot really is real. Understand?

Romsca

How do real-life facts prove that the Loch Ness Monster doesn't exist?
