If you are new to Doctor Who, or have not watched season 7 part 1, do not read this topic.

!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!

If you have met those criteria, then you feel my pain.
Amy and Rory died, for good. :'(
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

Ah, yes, I remember that.  Watched it twice (at different times), the first was to see it (of course), and I cried.  The second time was 'cause I felt like crying.
Oh, another thing that we'll probably be crying at:

Christmas Special
We're gonna have to say goodbye to Matt Smith.  :'(  Possibly Jenna-Louise Coleman as well, but I'm not 100% sure.

Amy and Rory didn't die, at least not in that episode ... they were transported back to old New York and because of the effects of the Weeping Angles, the Doctor couldn't go back and collect them. Of course, being sent into the past does mean they did eventually die of old age.

If you want a happier ending to the Amy and Rory storyline, then there's a "deleted scene" available on YouTube where Rory leaves a message for his father: Doctor Who: P.S.

There's also an obituary for Amy, written by the Doctor Who character Sarah Jane Smith, which tells you some of what they did after being sent back in time (click on it for a bigger version, but it's still a bit hard to read):

Eleven was a good doctor, but not enough for me to cry over his leaving the show.  He's nowhere near as good as ten.
