Shadowed One

Hearing somebeast breathing behind him, Aster dodged behind a column and waited, dagger ready.

Jukmin saw him as he dived behind the column. She stopped and lay down, and started to crawl to the other side of the column. She hoped the other otter was facing the way he had come.
As soon as Jukmin was on the other side she launched herself at her foe, whirling her sling she brought it down hard on where she hoped his head would be.

While Jukmin's attention was on the otter Aldar slipped away, hiding in the shadow of a wall. He was safe for now, but any moment another beast might see him. He slowly regained his breath, as well as his bearings. That had been way too close, he thought to himself. I have to make sure that that doesn't happen again. He pressed himself as closer as he could into the wall's shadow.

OOC: Zigh...Zat vaz cloze! Zank ye, Aster!
NARDOLE; You are completely out of your mind!
DOCTOR: How is that news to anyone?

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

Twigtooth happened to look out of the window, he saw the vine moving and narrowed his eyes suspiciously, he slowly brought his ketanas up level with his chest, his flight attitude was not because he was scared or because he was weak, it was simply because he did not want to kill innocent creatures but if one of them attacked him, he would not hold back. This fight would be the difference between freedom and death.

"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"
"You're a dork," Nico announced.

Shadowed One

Aster had guessed his opponent would go to the other side, so he had quickly left and taken off silently back the way he had come.

Leatho Shellhound

The arctic hare locked his axe between her trident pushing on it to make him back up.

OOC: Was that alright?

Camden slid back in the soft, coarse sand. He struggled to fight back, but the hare's superior strength kept up. He slipped forwards, and he hoped that Mucroni had also lost balance. He gripped his ham-axe and swung up blindly.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

Shadowed One

Making his way through the ruins, Aster saw the hare fighting a fox.  Now was his chance! While they were distracted, he ran and retrieved his weapons. Then he quickly ran back towards his otter enemy, ready to turn the tables.

Jukmin was very displeased to see the otter had made a run for it.
"Coward." She spat.
Jukmin then saw the hare and fox battling.
Well it wouldn't hurt to kill one of them while their backs are turned. She thought.
Jukmin hurled her javelin at the fox. She would rather fight the hare, she looked like a worthy opponent.

Shadowed One

Aster saw his opponent throw a javelin. The otter's back was turned to him, so he drew his dirk and threw it at her unprotected back.

Jukmin turned after throwing the javelin, she turned and the dirk went straight through her heart.
She never knew what killed her or if she had killed the fox she through her javelin at. But she did know one thing. She was free at last. Free from pain and grief, free to be with her loved ones once more.
OOC someone had to die first  :'(

Shadowed One

Aster walked over to the crumpled body of his opponent and retrieved his dirk. Turning towards the hare and fox, he got ready to kill some more.

The Shade

Sandfire saw the beaver peer out of the window and spot him, and he snarled curses under his breath. Stepping out of his hiding place, he tryed a differant tach. "Well 'ello, what ya doing hiding in a tower?" he asked. He wondered if he could make the beaver angry enough to come out and fight him.

"I'm not hiding, I'm waiting" Twigtooth replied coolly "As for the tower, it seemed a good place to survey the arena from"

The rat who had started the fight bellowed through a log "Jukmin has been killed, only seven fighters remain! Who will die next? only time will tell"

The Shade

Sandfire was about to say something, when he heard the rat's announcment. Jumkin? Wasn't she that otter? Anyhow, he had to face the challenge that was in front of him. Swirling his cloak, he stared at the beaver.  "Well, yer waitin' is over. Pherpare to be the second death!" With this he lunged with his trident held high.
