Why don't you just tone it down a little make him a little less invincible.

Forget the undectability, but it would be better if he couldn't be injured(He'll be more of a leader in the background, like Sauron in Lord of the Rings).

And I'll be making a new character soon.

Thing is, being able to detect you is made almost pointless if we can't defend ourselves from you, you're still playing the role of a God which is unfair to the rest of the RP'ers who are subject to the possibility of physical banes (cuts, magics, other detriments to the physical condition).

Obviously this isn't something that I can decide alone, but Faiyloe has already stated her concern over invincibility, and I'm pretty sure that most everyone else feels similarly.

On a side note, you don't need to be invincible, just play it smart and avoid major conflict. The rat would've succeeded if he had been more subtle. Personally, I'm not doing anything more than keeping track of where you are, I'm not interested in you beyond the potential for threat because I don't know who or what you are yet.

What I ment was that Teudericus does not have any offensive magic. He works in illusion, protection, and mind control(without having anybeast kill themselves). That is the reason why he needs thugs to help him.

On the other hand, the character I'll be making will not be very defensive, but will deal mass damage.

I don't think that is fair to have two very powerful characters in opposite things. that allows you as a person to manipulate the entire RP. There is no point in the rest of us playing if we can't do anything without you interfering.

Teudericus is a master-mind, someone who works behind. He only uses his powers to defend himself.

And when I said that the second character would deal mass damage is to say that he does not protect himself much, but is good at attacking.

Err, I do like the storyline you seem to be trying to make play out. But, I think you've gone a little far with it. To the point of your app being mostly blank, and your character seemingly having a spell for everything. It might be good if you asked Won if your plotline is okay (If you haven't already) to avoid hi-jacking the RP.

Yes, but how well, is the question? Would he die from poisoned wine, or a dagger to the back? In a fight, is there any way a non-magical character could ever kill him?

On a mostly unrelated note, I'm noticing some magic-users seemingly have a spell for everything. I think it'd be good if all the magic-users wrote a list of maybe ten spells that they know, maybe less if some of them are things like flying and hurling fireballs. That way there's no pulling random spells out of your hat to turn any situation to your advantage, that can get a little cheap if there aren't rules.

My character keeps out of reach from damage, teleporting to safety if need be. He does not attack, and doesn't let himself be attacked. There is a way to get rid of him, which will be explained later on.

And the reason why I have a character that is mostly blank is that first, it is pretty unknown(just a peasant like any other). And second, if it is full, then it ruins the plot.

Sooo... He pretty much can't be killed by melee means. He can be killed by one way. Only one. Every other character can be killed in tons of ways.

But he's not an ordinary character, he's more like Sauron: More of a tempter than anything else. He'll give ideas, but will not do anything physical.

Rusvul: You'll notice that most of us have themes to our magics, Redwaller is the God of invincibility (you cannot deny this), Faiyloe has been using mostly utilities (climbing, opening locks, heating objects, etc.),, and so forth. Plus, if we tell everyone what our magic is, then we lose the surprise aspect and the RP becomes a game of predictions. I must say that capping magic is necessary, but the way that you've proposed just isn't going to cut it.

Redwaller: You still obviously don't see the point that multiple people have reiterated. As nice as your ideas may be, playing Sauron is GM,ing! The only person that's allowed to do that is the GM (Game Master), and even that is limited to certain types of characters. You don't have to be physical to be OP, it's just not fair.

Alright, point taken. Maybe all magic-users could DM their spells to Won, for approval? Just a thought.

Right then, since my characters are so disagreeable, I'll delete them and start over.

No don't do that Just don't make them invincible or to powerful. Like ok Ill take the fact that he is very powerful but allow him to be hurt by natural means. He can still have very powerful defensive magic but he is not aware of everything going on around him and can be snuck up on and taken by surprise. He can be injured, not killed but still injured. That would allow you to still have the whole only be killed by one person thing. 

As for the mass destruction person if this is a non magic character than it is ok. if it is then just keep the destruction down to something that can be accomplished by non magical means just you do it by using magic.

If you do these things it should keep your characters intact and make it fair for everyone else.
