Not waiting for Anpan to reply, Reina walked over to the squirrelmaid. "Here, I'll get the fire going." She grabbed some dry twigs that happened to be handy and started striking one of her knife blades on a piece of flint.

Anpan pouted. "I'd have done it..." The ottermaid's thoughts, however, still seemed to be somewhere else. "Hey....... No, never mind."
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

After a moment, Reina's knifeblade produced a spark, which landed on he heap of tinder. She cupped her paws around it and blew gently. After a few seconds, a small flame flickered into life, and the ferretmaid sat back on her heels, pleased with her success.

"Alright," Reina said. The fire was going strong, so she quickly tied some twigs and dried grass together to make a makeshift torch, sprinkled some of the weird herbs on it, and then set it on fire. Since she still had ramsons up her nose, she wasn't affected by the resulting smoke. "Ta-da!" she announced, in the same voice Russina had used a short time before.
