I saw it in Japanese yesterday; I was curious to see how they'd handle the jokes. There were a few things lost in translation, but overall I enjoyed it just as much in Japanese. Olaf is hilarious in any language. ;D He actually got laughs in the theatre, which is rare. Japanese audiences are veeeeery quiet. I've also never seen a cinema that packed before, except for when I went to see Avatar a few years ago.

Here is Let it Go in Japanese:

I can sing 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman' and 'Let It Go' (ok, so I skip the bridge in Let It Go, but nobody cares)
That last "Let the storm rage ooooooooooooonnnnn!" note in Let it Go gets the better of me every time. :P

Kitsune

I can sing all of "Let it Go".  ;D

I finally saw Frozen just a couple of days ago. Loved it so much.  :D

Kinda jealous, Japanese is such a cool language.

Since Frozen was such a rage over at my school our Spanish teacher taught us how to sing "Let it Go" in Spanish. :P
Fun. is a fantastic band.

Still haven't seen it. *sigh* I am always behind.

I finally saw it this weekend on DVD. The music is great (and though I've listened to people playing "Let it Go" for months and months, I can now say that I finally get it. It's a lot more powerful in context. I guess I should've seen that coming). I also really like Sven, and the way he completely understands/agrees with the words Kristoff puts in his mouth.

And I like the switch-up on the "saved by true love" cliche with Anna's self-sacrifice being what saves her.

Spoiler alert.  :P  ::) Listening to Let it go without the context actually had me a little worried about the movie at first, but like you said, it made a lot more sense with the surrounding story line.

Finally saw it monday night. Pretty darn good for a guy who doesn't really like Disney.

YOU DON'T LIKE DISNEY?!?!?!?!?! THAT'S NUTS!

Wylder Treejumper

Ha. After they bought Star Wars? And Pixar? And did "Princess and the Frog"?
OK, it's not evil. Yet. But if they mess up Star Wars, they will have more to worry about than me calling them evil. I'm pretty sure all the Star Wars geeks like me will riot.

Well, as far as I know, George Lucas is the creative consultant on the new Star Wars movies. So maybe they'll be alright.

But what if they decided to sell princess dolls of Leia with pink sparkly outfits and stuff?! :P (Okay, I seriously doubt they'd do that, but yeah...)

Finally saw Frozen last night.  It was pretty good, but Olaf was irritating and the movie would have been much better without him.

Dannflower Reguba

How could you say that about Olaf! He was hilarious. A bit naive, but hilarious all the same.

Also, I'm kinda surprised at everyone's freaking out about Disney's purchase of Star Wars,  it's not that big of a deal, and I personally think that people are giving Disney way too hard of a time.

George Lucas spent his entire life on Star Wars, made billions off of it. He did a good job (mostly) too. He wasn't going to make any sequels because they were unnecessary. Before Disney, no Star Wars fan ever said, "Hey, they should make more Star Wars movies!" The only reason Disney is making them is because they will make money. There is really no continuation of storyline. Disney is also mainly skilled in children's animation... Not live action fantasy awesomeness!

Sorry for my rant, but I had to do it.
