Hrmm. A cat showed up on my porch. He/she has black and white fur, so I'm calling he/she Tux. I don't know who Tux is, but he/she is clearly a housecat. Fluffy and sweet, not scared of us at all. We put out a blanket and some water for him/her... We're going to try to find his/her owner. Although I'm not sure exactly how... no collar...

Cool! We once found a cat and kept for awhile. Then it jumped onto the street onto the highway. She didn't die though. that story was hilarious. ;D

If you wanna chat, PM me :) I'd love to talk with any of you!

Tux returned today. I heard a meowing on our porch, and looked out the window. There she was. I've almost confirmed her gender now- I'm fairly sure it's a she. The tip of her ear has been cleanly clipped off, I think that means she's been spayed. Me and my mom were outside, getting Tux some water- and then she just waltzed in the door. I tried to herd her outside, but she hid under a chair. No, it was more like exploring. It was as if she liked it under that chair. My dog, Luna, who is a chihuahua, (And about half the size of Tux) came over and, as dogs do, sniffed Tux's butt. They got along well- At least, they didn't attack each other or anything. Luna seemed kind of scared of Tux, like, 'Oh my god, what is this thing and why is it in my house?'
That's about when I tried to herd Tux out of our house- She's not our cat. But I, of course, failed. I decided to pick her up- She seemed tame enough to tolerate it. And she was. I picked her up and carried her outside- Not something I'd do with any stray cat, or even most tame cats. She seemed so friendly, and she looked pretty clean as well. That's about when the dog came up to our porch- I'm not sure what breed he was, but he was looked like a yorkie- Except he had thin, cream fur. He seemed scared of Tux as well. He had a collar, and in a moment, his owner came into view. We had a little conversation- He'd seen Tux before. Apparently, the dog had been a stray too, but he had kept it and cared for it. He wanted to keep Tux too, but the dog wouldn't let him. The dog began to pee on the towel we had put out for Tux a few nights before- 'Hahaha, it's my porch now!', his person told him off, and they both left. Tux came in again, and I carried her out again. We went back inside. I heard more meowing for a while- And then I think Tux walked away.
My mom is sick right now- but once she's feeling a little better, we're going to ask around and see if anybody knows more about Tux. If we find her owner, great. I'll be a little sad for the adventure to end so soon, but I'm sure it'd be the best thing for Tux. We think she might be a sort of neighborhood cat- One that roams around, but people feed it and stuff. If it seems to be the thing to do, after we ask around, we'll probably take Tux to the vet. See if she has been spayed, see if she has any pests, and most importantly, see if she's been microchipped. Once we've done some of that stuff, or if we see her again before that, I'll write more.

I'm allergic to cats.  :D Completely off topic.

I love cats. Mine died a few years ago, but she had lived a good, long life of 18 years. (Yup, she's older than me.)

Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Has anything happened with the cat?

Rusvul

No... We haven't seen her in quite a while. I wonder what happened to her... I hope she's okay.

I hope she's alright, too, Rus. I have a major soft spot for kitties. :)

Probably on a road somewhere where she is enjoying the rest of her life as a raw meat pancake.

So? I was merely making an observation of a possibility.

Must you really vocalize something that everyone's already thinking, in a way that we're hoping isn't the case? 'Yeah, there's this really cool cat.' 'Yeah, well, she's probably squashed.' A tad disrespectful, don't you think? Especially if she actually is dead.
