The Skarzs

This seems like it hasn't been discussed, so I thought I'd raise the topic: monstrous beings in Redwall. What were they supposed to be? Some sort of giant eel? Or perhaps Brian based them on the Loch Ness monster. What do you think?
Cave of Skarzs

Cave potato.

Ungatt Trunn

Wait, can you be a little more specific? Which "monster" are you talking about?

Life is too short to rush through it.

Norham Waterpaw

I believe she's referring to the Deepcoiler, or the thing on Green Isle that dwelled in the crater...
I think.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

Osu

We have a topic for the water-dwelling monster characters here. :)
Redwall is always open, its tables laden, to you and any of good heart.
