The Shade

Reven stared uncomfortably at the large cat, wondering wether to apologize for the fact that he had dragged Argunath to the abbey intending for him to be a hostage. The cougar could probably rip him in two if he still held a grudge, but since this hadn't happened already he reckoned he'd got off lightly.

Meanwhile, in the fringe of trees just off Redwall, Yassen leaned against a trunk. The young wildcat's mind was still fraught with worry; Where was he meant to go now? He noted it could be possible to break into the abbey, but that again there were at least four well-trained warriors there, including the monster cat. He didn't fancy his chances against that lot.

OOC: How far away is the army?
They told me I was gullible. I believed them.

It is well known that 47% of statistics are made up on the spot.

I used to leave out half my sentances, but now I

OOC: 'Rip him in two'. ;D Well put.

BIC: "I'd like to thank you for getting me back here," Argunath said to Reven without turning to him. "Though why you did it is beyond me. Don't bother explaining; I'd rather not know." He limped painfully away from the others, toward the abbey pond, all the while leaning heavily upon his falcate.

Rosemary chased after him, yelling, "Hey! If you're going to walk around - Which you shouldn't be - At least use a proper stick!!"
--------------
Bryony saw a flash of homesicknes in the big cat's eyes, and thought maybe he wasn't so tough as he liked to appear. She walked over Reven. "Hey, promise me you'll take care of Bryant and Rosemary while you're here and I'm gone, will you? I don't think I'd rest easy without someone looking after them." She said, looking up at his face; He had a good two inches on her!

The Skarzs

"Indeed, I am not supposed to be walking. But I'm not about to be helped about like a senile old fart who can't take care of himself." He did not like not being able to move about; it wasn't natural to him to stay under some other beast's care. He reached the pond bank before Rosemary reached him, and eased himself down onto the grass.

"Oh, you stubborn old cat!" Rosemary cried, then reached him and flopped down.

Argunath looked at her. "Is the molebabe alright? I fear he will never be the same after that experience." He suddenly remembered one more thing, and cried out in painful remembrance.
"The little hedgehog; he is still out there midst the dead cats!"
He attempted to go retrieve the sad little bundle for proper burial. He would do what was right if it killed him.

Arya walked up just when Argunath asked about the mole babr. "Yes, Guggum is fine physically, but I fear he will never forget the shock of wht happened out there." She said quietly, and when Argunath remembered the hedgehog, "Stay there! I'll go get his little body to bring him back to Redwall." She said this sharply, for she did not want to take any chances on him going into a rage again. She continued, softer, "I can go be tree and have less chance of being spotted by any other cats out there. I'm sure you want to do the right thing, and that is resting at the moment." She then started walking quickly toward the wallgate again, and out into the woods.

The Skarzs

The cougar was torn between listening to Arya's common sense and the pressing feeling of responsibility for the loss of the hedgehog.
To try and remove the thought from his mind, he took off his gauntlets and unbuckled his armor; he couldn't keep the battle-worn shell on if he were to rest. Taking it off, he looked down at his tunic: ripped and blood-stained from countless battles. Between tears in the cloth he could see the horrible scars inflicted upon his many seasons ago, when he lost her. . .
Argunath crossed his arms in an effort to hide some of the revealed scars.

Rosemary coughed, then politely asked, "Would you to change and freshen up?" He couldn't very well go wandering around Redwall dressed ion that rag!

The Skarzs

"Yes, actually." He was quite embarrassed and awkward; all other creatures around were wearing nice green habits, while here he was clad in a filthy relic of a tunic that had not been complete for seasons.

He put his armor back on.

"Okay. I'll go in, prepare your room and bring in a ready tub, come get you, then leave again. Sound good?" The Abbess said, standing up. "Oh, and do you have any preference to habit cord color? I'll lay some out in your room with your habit, since I'm afraid that's all we have." She said as an after thought. They had all sorts of nice colors, and some beasts were picky. Besides, wouldn't you like it better if you could choose?

The Skarzs

The cougar chuckled. "Anything big enough to fit me will be fine, thank you. I learned a long time ago not to be picky and choosy for such things as those. I will be here."
These were good beasts, he thought. Kind, peaceful, respectful. . .
Nothing like that lot further south; but they wouldn't be bothering any goodbeast anymore.
He turned his thoughts to the horde of cats he had been told about. How many were they? How well armed were they? And would they get any help from the 'fire mountain' called. . . Salamerstan? Such odd names in this part of the world. If the horde was very large, they would need all the reinforcements they could get. Perhaps they were already being attacked?
So many questions unable to be answered.

Willow had gone back to his dorm. He swapped out his sandals for some leather boots he had made in his spare time, and kept them a secret. He laced them on, and put on his gloves. He plopped himself down on his bed.
"Why was that Wildcat here? I know he's on our side, I think. But why a wildcat? Weren't we warned against them?"
He got up strapped his dirk across his waist. He sprinted across the lawns, and to the gate where everyone was.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

Cornflower MM

"Hey, nice boots Willow!" Bryant commented, eying his sister and the guys` squirrel. He didn't like it, not one bit.

The Skarzs

OOC: Just a need for clarification. What didn't Bryant like? ???
