" Is there anything else that you need Sister Ann."

[Cornflower MM]

"No, thank you Solarflare. You may go now if you wish." Ann said, then got down to business. "The reason I called you two together is so that we might discuss the idea Ritton staying in the Infirmary as much as possible, to avoid any physical and emotional injuries. I can think of one or two who would gladly throw an apple or a few sharp, cruel words."

[Iamthatis]

"Solarflare then walks out before Sister Ann started talking. Hope all goes will for Ritton."

[Captain Snowfire]

Ritton looked again at her drawing. "Hmm, mayhap your right." Ritton then looked up as Sister Ann explained Rittons position. "I just have one question. What happened that made the beasts here despise cats so much?"

" Solarflare then makes his way outside. So that he could walk around the grounds too see if anyone needs help."

Arya went as still as a stone, and bit her lip, obviously trying not to cry, then choked out, "Sorry, Ritton....It's just...I gotta..." And walked out of the room, quickly. Poppy and Ann exchanged looks, and then Poppy said quietly while Ann stopped what she was doing, obviously going down Memory Lane., "I suppose Arya told you about her brother? You see, Arya is scared stiff to be around you, since her little brother was killed by a big male, and Arya had to see it. Then, the cat turned on her, and she still has the scars. Then a winter back or so, Arya and her fiance were walking in the woods, and a female cat this time, killed Caldroc, for that was his name. Ever since, Redwallers haven't trusted them. She's still getting over his death, and I'm afraid you question brought it back to her. But you didn't know, so please don't worry about upsetting her. I'm going to find her now." Poppy patted her paw, and left, and Ann kept on doing her thing, as if she'd never stopped. But then she spoke, after Poppy had left, "Arya brought Caldroc to me, Ritton, and I couldn't stop his life from bleeding out. I tried, but there wasn't anything I could do. Arya was sitting on this bed, watching,  and crying. When I told her, she asked if they could spend the last bit of time together alone. I of course said yes, and I don't know what happened between them, but when she came out half an hour later, dry-eyed, I knew we were never going to see the same Arya again. Don't blame yourself for asking, Ritton. I'm sure that you were far away from the area at the time."

" As Solarflare was returning inside he saw Arya run out of the room. He then caught up with Arya to ask her a question. Arya what the matter why are you crying?"

Ritton looked a little puzzled before Arya suddenly started to choke out some words, looking like she was in deep pain.

"Sorry, Ritton....It's just...I gotta..."

"Wait!" Ritton called after Arya, but it was too late. She had gone already. Ritton's train of thought was lost as Poppy began to explain.

Ritton looked sorrowful as Poppy left the infirmary. "I see." She mumbled her train of thought was lost interrupted again as Sister Ann spoke this time.

"Arya brought Caldroc to me, Ritton, and I couldn't stop his life from bleeding out. I tried, but there wasn't anything I could do. Arya was sitting on this bed, watching,  and crying. When I told her, she asked if they could spend the last bit of time together alone. I of course said yes, and I don't know what happened between them, but when she came out half an hour later, dry-eyed, I knew we were never going to see the same Arya again. Don't blame yourself for asking, Ritton. I'm sure that you were far away from the area at the time."

Ritton looked positively miserable now that she had confirmation. "I was always told that there were a few." Ritton said quietly, tears beginning to swell underneath her eyes. Turning away from the sister she wiped away the tears that were trying to run down her face. With her face still facing away from the sister, Ritton asked "Do you know what the female cat looked like?".

[Cornflower MM]

"Yes...Arya said that she was ginger, with light brown marks, and a few streaks and red." Ann said, puzzled. Then she started washing the fur around Ritton's foot, and gasped. She started backing away. "you, you, you have..... Ginger fur. Oh, Ritton!"

Arya shuddered, trying to bring in her emotions a bit. "Nothing, Solarflare....I just need sometime to myself." She said, then took something out of her pocket, a piece of bloodstainefd clothing. A bit of the last clothing Caldroc ever wore. She ran away to her room, and locked the door, then started crying into her pillow, as it all came back....

Ritton looked down at her foot paw, seeing the ginger fur she quickly covered it with her other foot paw. Ritton's eyes grew wide with fright as the Sister started backing away. "No, please! It wasn't-I'd never do something like that!" She pleaded, "You have to believe me!" Ritton shouted at the Sister.

[Iamthatis]

" Solarflare then walked to the room where Ritton was being held in. Does anyone know what happened to Arya. I just saw her crying then she ran into another room and locked the door."

A few seconds has passed after Ritton had shouted at the Sister when the beast called Solarflare came in.

" Does anyone know what happened to Arya. I just saw her crying then she ran into another room and locked the door."

As Solarflare walked in Ritton made an limping dash toward the door behind Solarflare, with her heart pounding in her ears she tried to push past Solarflare to get to the door.

" Easy Ritton where do you think your off to in such a rush."

Pushing the Mouse aside Ritton threw open the infirmary door and limped off downstairs as fast as she could. Arriving at the bottom of the stairs Ritton stopped for a moment trying to find the way out. Deciding on the large room to her right Ritton limped through looking over her shoulder every few seconds to see if she was being followed.

"Oh, Solarflare! Last winter was brought up - You know what happened then" Ann said as she rushed past him, calling, "Ritton? Ritton!"
