Redwall Abbey Member Awards

The Abbot has decided it is time to start rewarding Redwallers for various activity participation and member behavior on our lovely site! If you win one of these awards you will be able to display it proudly along with your signature.

Reasons for winning these awards will vary depending on what the award has been given for. A short of active awards is listed below. Please note that new awards will be added as deemed necessary by staff.

All staff of redwallabbey.com have the ability to give out awards. Awards will be given in no particular pattern to those who we deem worthy. Note: Petitioning a staff member for an award is frowned upon.

If you see your name listed along with the displayed award you may paste it into your signature.

It is worth noting that now that the merger has taken place, there are two sets of award badges, the ones made by BrookSkimmer originally and the ones made by Leatho Shellhound for Loamhedge. We've decided not to burden award winners with excess legislation about their awards. If you are eligible for a badge, you may choose it in either form, whichever you prefer. I would encourage you not to use both, however (I know that they're both gorgeous, but this creates the impression that you've won two awards).

If you paste an award in your signature and you did not win it, there will be strict consequences.

Season Nameday, as most people know, comes on the 1st of March, June, September, and December. It is meant to be a celebration of the forum's achievements and growth, as manifested in one person for a period of time. The Staff, after deliberation over a number of members, choose one, who is then given the right to name the three-month period until the next nameday. Some criteria for becoming a season namer are being a consistently positive contribution to the forum and representing our community's values. Being season namer is a one-time thing (unless, I suppose, we run through every eligible member ).
