Vatra soon reached the side gate for it was not far and unlocked it. Then just before she passed threw she looked over her other shoulder at Ervoyce all fire had gone from her eyes replaced by sorrow and a saver sense of responsibility for Arya. She lead her into the woods and lay Zanga down on the ground. and she went over to hold and comfort Arya though she new there was not much she could do. She remembered the night they had left the abbey Arya had been injured and delirious and they had comforted each other together in the clearing. Vatra bit her lip she remembered the run in with the wolverine and the  wounds she had received that night.  But this hurt more than any blade she knew that more than anyone. Her thoughts wandered even farther back to when she had been found by the Redwallers dying and alone.

"Is she alive?"
"I don't know the poor child all alone,"
"She is breathing! Look"
"We need to get her to the infirmary quickly get the others,"

How they had healed her wounds but she had never truly healed her heart and she hoped beyond hope that Arya would be ok. She hugged her tighter and  whispered in her ear "You'r going to be ok..."
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

Arya clung to Vatra and started saying something barely understandable: "He was all I really had. I mean, I have Ervoyce and you, but you two just seem so....Together, that I feel like I'm tagging along, a third wheel, so to speak." Shw started crying again more fiercely.

Ervoyce saw his friends disappear in the night. He breather a sigh of relief, the searing pain was nearing unbearable. With a final spin he used his the already extinguished blade to rip off the ashen remains. With his knife lost, sword and hands covered in dripping blood the dark furred squirrel was down to his white tunic and their tattered sleeves. He lifted the weapon from it's position off to the right and pointed it straight at Jantar, eyebrows bent. No words were necessary, his heartless stare communicated everything he could've possibly said.

Knowing that shock would only bye him moments by now, he turned dashed for the gate. Still, there were more vermin who'd yet to see the act, and they were by no means scared of taking pot shots at the now highlighted figure. Hearing the snap of bowstrings Ervoyce altered his course constantly. Even so, not every arrow missed its' mark by as much as he was hoping. He made it outside, and continued to head off into the forest. Worn out and in pain, he didn't bother to go looking for his comrades, instead opting to find Brockhall where the others were almost sure to be.

After about 5 minutes of walking, he stopped to rest and asses his wounds. The burns were inflamed from the rough trip, Ervoyce knew all too well how badly he needed to find a significant source of water. The projectiles were almost as bad with a sling stone slightly sunk into his shoulder are on the left side, and arrows sticking on the same side to the front of his leg, and into the outer edge of his gut on the right side. Grimacing to keep back any utterance of pain, he leaned back against the tree he had chosen to rest against. After steeling himself against the pain, he stood and pressed onward towards his destination.

"It's ok it's ok hang on I promise... you will be ok... I know he was close" She said rocking her in her arms. She hoped that Ervoyce would find them. She did not know how long she could keep a level head but she needed to keep a strong face if only for Arya's sake. "We... we need to keep moving," She said "We will hide Zanga here and come back for him in the morning."
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

Cornflower MM

"Okay." Arya managed to choke out, then started going towards the otter.

Vatra helped to hide him in the bushes. "Come on lets get going," She said starting towards Brockhall.
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

Arya followed Vatra almost blindly, and started trying to look a little more presentable while walking.

Faiyloe

Vatra bit her lip and tried to block out everything If she let anything she new she would brake down then who would take care of Arya. She new she would seem cold but it was either that or a  emotional brake down. She too Arya's paw and helped her along not saying anything or making eye contact afraid that even that would be to much.
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

Artya squeezed Vatra's paw, grateful for the comfort. She snagged a dock leaf with her other paw and started wiping her face with it, trying to wipe away some of the tears. Within moments it was soaked, and she grabbed another one.

Ervoyce was still trying to reach Brockhall when it began to sprinkle, and then drizzle, and finally rain. The rain wasn't very hard, but it was enough to agitate the burns without actually helping. As mist began to rise from the ground the squirrel became weary to the point of dizziness. Clamping onto the first tree he ran into did not help any of the injuries he had sustained, but it helped him regain control. He felt a sleepiness come over him, but fighting it, managed to only be subdued to a kneeling position. Still facing the tree with his eyes clenched tight and an agony written grimace still present he squeaked out, "Vatra.... Arya.... I... I...."...

OOC: And Bryant is doing what at this time? Haven't heard from him since the gate.

Raphael swore, and kicked the wall. Call it pride, but he had wanted to kill the ghost in one clear shot, but then he had gotten away, then all hell broke loss, it seemed almost literally. He had at first been shocked by the flaming creature, but then had started firing arrows at him left, right, and centre. Unfortunately none of them had found a fatal position.
Raphael licked his dry lips, and calmed his breathing. It was better to loss a battle than the war, and better to loss anything rather than his temper. That's what his father had always told him.
Raphael began to make his way down stairs, he wanted to go after those darn woodlanders, and since everyone else was running around like headless chickens, he'd have to go alone.
Raphael ran out of the Abbey, and into the night, a steady drizzle was coming down, but he ignored it. He loaded up his bow, pulled his hood up over his head, and set off into the night. He had seen the wallgate they had left through, and ran towards it, and ran out. Trying to find tracks before they were washed away. Yes there were some recent ones, but they had almost disappeared. Raphael got down on his knees, and looked carefully, two female squirrel, or two small male squirrels, heading out into the woods, one of them carrying something large, and heavy.
Raphael nodded, and ran in the direction he guessed they had gone. He wasn't finished yet.

OOC: Sorry! Sorry, sorry, sorry!

BIC: When Bryant had gone out the gate, he'd changed out of his costume behind the tree that he'd used to change into it. When he was back into his regular clothing, he came back from out the tree, and confidently set off towards Brockhall - Or so he thought. When he realized his mistake, he turned towards his left, and after walking for awhile, heard someone squeaking out, "Vatra.... Arya.... I... I...." He stood, stunned, for it was Ervoyce! He ran towards the sound, and soon saw the black squirrel in his white clothes, even if you couldn't really tell anymore, a grimace of agony on his face, bleeding from several spots, along with horrible burns, in a kneeling position. "Ervoyce? Ervoyce!" He called, running over. "Hang on. Don't sleep, just keep your eyes open!" He said, and started picking him up, bridal style. Sort of. He started staggering in the direction he fondly hoped Brockhall lay, and soon saw a familiar tree, that had a bend in it, so it looked a bit like a bent elbow. It was just half mile more! He started walking faster, or trying to. "Ervoyce, just hang on a little longer, OK? Then you'll be fine, as long as you don't sleep, OK?" He said, hoping the squirrel would hear and understand.

OOC: I can change it, since there's a little PP in there.

Dannflower Reguba

The black squirrel could just barely make out the sound of Bryant's voice, a mixture of emotions: concern, worry, intensity... He did what he could to ease the burden on his friend, but couldn't do much as unconsciousness started to set in. He focused on the death grip he was exerting on his sword to keep what consciousness he did have. Breathing heavily, and numbed from the incessant throbbing he spoke in a most peculiar manner.

"Le cairde mar seo, ní bheidh mé ag ar mian leo
i láthair allies mairfidh mé
Ná a fhágáil dóibh siúd breá liom lamenting
Dóchas as gach slán mé...."

Ervoyce could not finish, for his world had blacked out just as Brockhall came into view. He felt peace as his head lolled to the side, he was under the care of those that would care for him, he slept.

OOC: FYI: The white things he wears are what he normally wears, he's just usually got his cloak on.  ;) And don't worry, I have no plans to die right here.

OOC: You better not! That's my job to die suddenly.  ;)

BIC: Raphael was now soaked through, the tracks had disappeared, but he kept going where he assumed they go. Just then, he thought he heard something, he stopped, and listened. There was someone up ahead, Raphael smiled, and put his bow away, and drew his dagger. It was a vicious barbed thing, it would wound his enemy, then he could go in with his sword, which he also now drew from it's sheath.

Cornflower MM

OOC: Oops! Fixed.

BIC: Bryant looked down at his burden, and frowned. What in the world are you saying? That's one odd language....NO!!! He thought, his frown quickly replaced with shock. The white squirrel really didn't have much experience with injuries, and when his friend fell into the blackness of unconsciousness, he panicked. He started running, and how he did it he had no idea, as Ervoyce has a bit bigger than he. He ran up to the door of Brockhall, and started kicking it, since his arms were full.

Abbess Russina had woken up in the middle of the night, hungry. As she was coming back from getting her snack, she heard someone hitting the door. She walked over, and called, "Who is it?" She recognized Bryant's voice (They'd met earlier) calling quite frantically, "It's me, Bryant! I've got Ervoyce, and he's very badly injured!! Hurry up! Please!" She dropped the cheese she'd been carrying, got the door open, and then ran to get the Infirmary people, after snatching her cheese.
