Monka stared, surly she had to be mad, "Monka." He said slowly, "We were just talking."

Cornflower MM

"We were?" Bryony asked, Then asked, "You know you're quite cute, right?" She, when she banged her head, was prone to saying the first thing that popped into her head. And usually wasn't embarrassed. She then took in the fact that she was sitting on the ground, there was a tree nearby, and her head hurt. "Did I hit my head or something?" She asked.

Monka was feeling increasingly nervous, and embarrassed, "Ur, yeah....." Was all he could utter.

Cornflower MM

"Oh! That explains it. Well, you'll be wanting the real me, won't you?" Bryony said, grinning. She walked over to the tree, banged her head, and started to fall over, having blacked out. Then she woke up and saw the ground rushing up and puit her injured arm out to catch herself. "OW!" She shrieked, sitting on the ground.

The Abbess found her husband in Cavern Hole, sitting with a group of Redwallers discussing the latest events. She ran up to the group and explained what was going on.

"Marshall's just returned. He hasn't seen Skipper in a while, and he says Bryony has met up with a squirrel called Monka. We need to figure out what we're gonna do - if we should leave right now or wait a little longer until Skipper gets back."

The group of Abbeydwellers began speculating on what would happen in light of the new development. Mycroft stood and nodded slowly, then replied, "I think we should wait a bit, 'til Skipper returns, wot."

"Okay. Glad I don't have to make a major decision yet. What would I do without you?" Fern said, giving him a smile and a peck on the cheek. "I hope Skip gets back soon, though." She turned to see Glirid and his Dibbun friends, May and Brinkut among them, somersaulting in a corner. That reminded her of the play. "Oh! I've forgotten all about that play Lupine and I were organizing! Oh great..." She headed off in search of Lupine.

Sister Lupine was at this moment, making her way through Mossflower. As soon as she had shown Marshall to his room she had made a decision, she had to tell Bryony, that Bryant wasn't dead. So she had gone to her room, changed out of her beloved habit, and into a light blue tunic, with loose sleeves, and a pair of shorts, and boots, she had taken her lovely hat off, and tied her hair up. She had even brought along a dagger, though she was sure she couldn't use it. Sister Lupine had left a letter on her writing desk,

Dear fellow Abbey dweller who has found this note,
I Sister Lupine, have left the Abbey to go in search of Bryony, I have taken it upon myself to inform her that her dear brother is not dead, but injured. I will not be gone long, please don't come after me, I will be fine.
                                                             Sincerely Yours
                                                              Sister Lupine.

Monka just stared, what was she doing now?

Bryony was rocking on the ground, holding her arm. When someone slices your arm to the bone, and then you put that arm out to catch yourself, it isn't going to fell like a big barrel of laughs. When it was okay a few moments later she stood up carefully. She peered at Monka, then remembered what had happened, and her cheeks turned as red as a beetroot. "Oh, dear, I'm sorry!" She said, still blushing fiercely. "Oh...It usually only happens every few seasons! Oh dear, oh dear...." She muttered to herself, and was about to bang her head against the tree, but thought better of it. So she explained, "Um, sorry for my behavior a few minutes ago. That does tend to happen when I hit my head, and it's quite annoying and embarrassing when I hit it again, later....." She gnawed on her lip, not daring to look at Monka. What must he think of her? The crazy squirrelmaid with a split personality? And an unreliable guide? She kept pacing, getting faster and and faster, still not daring to look at him.

rachel25

Monka wasn't quite sure what to say. He had known a squirrel with short term memory loss, but he guessed that was different. "Um, it's alright. As long as you can find your way through these woodlands....." Monka said, looking at the ground. Bryony's pacing was making him dizzy.

Fern knocked on the door of Lupine's room. When there was no reply, she slowly pushed it open. Lupine wasn't there, but the Abbess noticed a piece of paper on her desk. She walked over and read it quickly. Then she stepped back and sighed. Now what? Somebeast else has left, and what am I supposed to do? Well, for now I won't tell anybeast that Lupine has left. It would just worry them even more. I guess the play will just have to be put on hold.

There was nothing she could do, so Fern left the room and headed back to her study to finish her journal entry.

"oh, really? Yopu don't think I'm nuts?" Bryony asked, stopping her pacing and looking at him overjoyed-like. "Of course I know the way through the woodlands! How old do I look, 3 seasons old? I don't think so!" She half-heartedly snapped, then set off up a tree to scout, hoping Monka wouldn't have a fainting fit from those stupid berries.

Marshall was laid back in his room. He loved the look red sandstone walls. He felt at home. While getting up, he remembered that he needed to go see Tripper. He walked out of his room and went to the infirmary. peaked inside and saw Tripper and another squirrel. Both were eating their meal.
''Well, Tripper you look like you are enjoyin' your broth!''
''Marshall! You made it back! Well, did you catch the otters?!''
''Ill catch you up later. Anywho, who are you young squirrel?''
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Bryant stopped eating a monet, and said, "Bryant, I'm Bryony's sisteer. Did you see her at all? Is she alrigfht?" He asked, his face full of concern and love for his at times addlebrained sister.

rachel25

Monka watched as Bryony climbed the tree. He sighed, and leaned against a tree, still puzzled over what Bryony had said.
"You know you're quite cute, right?"
Cute? Monka had never been called cute. The names he'd been called over the seasons shouldn't be repeated in civilized company.
Monka shook his head, and sighed, So your guide is a squirrelmaid who, bursts into tears randomly, screams, threatens violence, babbles on about you being cute, and then acts like she'd committed a crime, or done something shameful. Brilliant.

Cornflower MM

But little did Monka realize that Bryony was beating herself over the head (Not hard enough to knock herself out, fortunately) calling herself names, emphazing each word with a bang on the head. "Stupid! Half-wit! Crazy! Now your crush thinks you're nuts! And you admitted that you think he's cute! Dumb Bryony! Bad!" She continued railing on this way, unaware that if Monka looked up, he could see her.

OOC: Now would be the time for him to look up. ;)  ;D ;D But seriously, they should get through this stage, and manage to, oh I dunno, spill their guts to each other on the way to finding Scarlet. ;D ;D

rachel25

OOC: Ok. But they probably should get going.

BIC: Monka could hear Bryony talking, he looked up to see her beating her head against the tree. He couldn't exactly what she said, but he was able to guess.
I'm doomed.

Sister Lupine was lost. It was as simple as that. Just one little word, but it meant so much. Lost.
She had thought that following Marshall's tracks would be easy, she thought that there would literally be footprints in the ground. But it turned out, there wasn't.
She wandered around willy nilly, trying to think what to do, You can't go back to the Abbey, you don't know the way. But I could end up lost out here, and no one may ever find me. But what if someone does find me, and there bad? Oh dear. You try to do something nice for someone else, and look what happens! Good one Lupine!
