Okay, there's got to be some people who read Redwall who like writing calligraphy, right? Well, I'm a beginner, and I really need to find a good way to clean and dry my nibs. I've tried soaking them, but that didn't do much. So, right now, I've resorted to letting the water from a faucet run through them, and then getting water in there and blowing it through with my mouth. Any ideas?

Oh, and does anyone have any ideas for re-filling my cartridges? How do you do it?

Rusvul

Nooooo ideeeeaaaa. I always used a quill with little metal bits at the tip, so it was fairly simple to just rinse them out and dip them in ink to use them. I wish you luck, though!

Cornflower MM

Oh...Hmm. Well, thanks anyways, Rus! And, thanks for the good luck. :D

The Skarzs

Maybe you could soak them for a little in vinegar or bleach. Or both.

Is the ink dried on? If it is, I do what Skarz said for the nibs: soak them in vinegar, then rinse well. As for the cartridges, I have no idea.

No, it isn't......I always, always, ALWAYS wash my pen nibs when I switch colors, and the only time I don't wash them is when I use my signature pen (It's 1. mm, and I don't wash it...I just stick the cap on, because I always use the same ink for my signatures) When I'm done, the only one I don't wash is my 1. mm......So, in other words, the ink's fresh.
