Series continuation?

Does anyone else wonder if Redwall's series will continue by one of Brian's relatives or someone else?

I don't think so, because of how uniquely he wrote them: take a look at the fan fictions as an example. None of them are quite up to par with what and how he wrote the books. Not only that, it was his imagination that gave the books their spark, making them what they are. Others' attempts at writing them would add certain aspects unwanted in a Redwall book. Rouge Crew is an example: the last half of it seemed far different than the other books, as well as different from the first half.
To answer your question: I doubt it, and, while it's possible that it might happen, they won't be the same. Since they hold the rights for Redwall publication, a whole new series might become a reality, but it would be just that: a different series connected but not the same as the traditional Redwall books.

That's understandable (haven't read the last two yet, but i'll eventually see what you mean), I just was thinking a relative might continue it maybe. But I wouldn't be sad if they don't make more.

I think there is a possibility. I mean, anyone wanting to earn money might try to continue the series. It will never be the same though. I am not sure though. Quite possible.

The writing at the second half doesn't seem like BJ wrote it. There are many loose ends, it felt strange on how suddenly some characters died, and the way the female hedgehog, whatshername, ended up killing the wearet at the end: it doesn't seem like his style. Perhaps he intended the storyline to go like that, but didn't write it himself.

Or it was just really incomplete and unedited and they had no choice but to publish it since Brian Jacques died (that's my theory)

I think that Jacques knew he was dying and tried to finish the book before his death. In any case, the writing is rushed and not up to par.

She didn't kill, Jum(I think that's his name) did. And I kind of liked the way a lot of the creatures dies; it shows just how fierce Razzid Wearat and his crew really are.

She didn't kill, Jum(I think that's his name) did.

Thing is, I think that's way worse. Him being killed by Martin's Sword I could've bought (though I kinda like him better for taking it with "That all you punks got?!" (Is it just me, or did Jacques seem to tire of Martin's Sword near the end )) Being killed by a deus-ex-machina blow to head from a character who'd been absent for several chapters and almost literally came out of nowhere was just cheap  

Back on topic: I doubt we'll see anymore Tales of Redwall. If someone was going to take the reins, I think it would've happened by now. Redwall was Brian's baby, so it's fitting that it die with him.

And heck, there are plenty of fanfics to fill the void and carry on his work

True, I mean I had an idea. It'd be more of a fanfic but having it's a futuristic world for Redwall. And instead of Martin's sword, it's now a gun. but eh. Not the best idea.
