I recently just finished Salamandastron again, and I've been thinking about Klitch. For instance, we know Ferahgo's his father, but the book never mentioned his mother. Where is she? You know, things like that. Thoughts?

Funny, I didn't really think about that. I have to agree that she was probably dead, since she was never mentioned. Most likely from battle (they're vermin, bound to get in quite a few fights).

I can't remember what happened to Bluefen in Outcast, that probably happened to klitch's mother.

Klitch has always interested me for some reason. . . . I kinda get why he and his father wouldn't get along, but this was one topic I've always wondered about.

She may have announced that Ferahgo was the father of the babe so Ferahgo being, well, Ferahgo, must have murdered her and taken the babe to erase the evidence.

I think it was most likely something similar to Bluefen in The Outcast of Redwall. Bluefen died shortly after Veil was born, it's probably the same with Klitch.

Most likely something Ferahgo did that lead to her untimely 'disappearance', being the petty thug he and Swartt are.
Either that or she could have just been some random weasel horde beast that the Assassin probably told to buzz off and forget she had ever done anything with him the moment he had an heir. He doesn't seem like the loving husband type.
