It would "see" you from two different locations. Say, you are reading a topic in one of tab and replying to another on the other tab, it would be constantly switching back and forth between what it "thinks" you are doing.

My two old rusty cents on this.

No, I'm pretty sure it does. I have two tabs open all the time, and it usually says that I'ma  Guest in one tab or another.

That isn't my experience. Maybe if you're using incognito tabs, or a window in a different browser (a browser where you're not logged in), but otherwise it consistently updates my location.

We could do a system overhaul and rewire every guest's account IP address, trace them, delete them, and put the forum on lockdown. Maybe.
