Yes, I have, my favorite character was probably Thranduil.
Dreams, dreams are untapped and writhing. How much more real are dreams than that paltry existence which we now call reality? How shall we ascend to that which humanity is destined? By mastering the dreamworld of course. That is how, my pupils, that is how.

I personally thought that the BoFA was pretty good: there was allot of action sequences, but they weren't cheesy or goofy in any way; all the action scenes seemed to serve more of a purpose than simply filling up film time. I like how there was quite a bit of time given to character development; all the characters had a purpose in the movie, even Tauriel, I will admit. In fact, the only real downside to the movie is that the ending seemed too rushed, just a little bit. But I'm sure that we will get more detail into the ending of the movie when the extended version comes out. Overall, I really liked it!

Life is too short to rush through it.

I give it three stars! If Tauriel hadn't been in the movie, I would've given it four.

I gave 4 1/4 stars because of the LEGO sets that came about because of it.

Indeed. You are as ancient as the soot that choked Pompeii into oblivion, though not quite as uncaring. - Rusvul

I liked it, didn't absolutely love it - think I rated it 4 stars.

I was surprised they didn't show a bit more of the aftermath of the battle with a certain funeral, tying up some loose ends, etc. It was kinda just suddenly over with, and off goes Bilbo back home, good night all! I did like the absolute final ending which tied it in with a scene in LOTR. :D

The scenes with Tauriel and Kili were pretty cringey. I think we could have done without that love silliness between them.

To be honest I can't comment more on it because it's been a while since I saw it now!

^ I do agree that that one scene with them towards the beginning was kinda cheesy.

And if there hadn't been any LEGO sets?

While I'm stopping in I found this topic and felt like I had to post!

The movie was awesome! Another master piece by Peter Jackson! I did feel like they could have used less CGI but after watching the movie I realized they didn't really take anything out that was in the books but they added A LOT of stuff, It was still a great movie!

I'm pretty sure Dane was CGI.
Yeah, I heard that too. He looked pretty real to me, though. Probably partly due to the fact that I expected him to be a real actor.

WHAT??? How could you like Thranduil? He was so annoying and uptight!

I like him too! He's good-looking, for one thing, and even though he's proud and doesn't care much about others, I think that makes him really interesting. Sets him apart from all of the other, can-do-no-wrong Elves.

Alright so Dane is spelt Dain and most of my family thinks it's supposed to be pronounced "Dine" and according to Christopher Tolkien, Peter Jackson cannot be counted upon to do Middle Earth justice and I never hold film adaptations word with any authority

Also I hate Thanduil
