In the great Mossflower country stands a massive palace. Recently constructed with enormous wooden pillars and giant candle chandeliers. Surrounding the place is a low stone wall, and around the wall is a city. The city spread for miles in all directions, ending rather abruptly the buildings turn to miles upon miles of farmland. On the Eastern edge of the city on a clear day from the top of a house you could just see the Western edge of Redwall. From the Western end of the great city one could almost see the mountain range bordering Salamandastron territory.
Once long ago one could see great trees of Mossflower all around but now the land was cleared too make room for the great city and the surrounding villages. Too the North and South the ancient forest still stood as if defying the great expansion.
On the wall top surrounding the palace an occasional guard would pass stomping on a short patrol around the lawns, most of these were woodlanders, adjusting spears and swords or scanning the busy city. Only a few of their number were of the vermin race or as they preferred the lowlanders marching with their woodlander comrades.
In the palace itself a fox could be seen leaning over a high balcony taking an occasional sip of fine wine. The fox was a strong looking creature, wearing fine clothes and with a golden circlet upon his head, a jeweled rapier at his right hip. Behind him was a strange assortment of creatures five in all. A rat, squirrel, otter, weasel and a ferret. The ferret and otter were dressed similarly to the Fox lacking only the sword and circlet, the squirrel and weasel were dressed in fine armor, carrying battle swords they were the only ones not sitting or drinking remaining at loose attention in case they were called upon.
The rat however was complete opposite of the rest, neither smiling or talking he remain silent dressed in dark black leather he remained still with his head down listening but never talking.
"My Lord, the guest have been arriving by the day and soon the full party will have arrived. They have all settled into their rooms nicely and are awaiting for the event to begin. However Lord Riven of Salamandastron, King Garthem of Southsward and Abbot Vilmon of Redwall along with several others have yet to arrive. I am concerned they may be late or have had trouble on their journey. The trip from Southsward is a long one and they may have ran into trouble." The squirrel had been speaking too the fox, Lord Defurgelo.
"I know captain Daniel," Defurgelo answered moving from his position on the balcony he turned to face the squirrel officer. "However from the disturbance at the gates it appears as if our late guests have at last arrived." As if too confirm Defurgelo's statement a knock sounded at the door showing the arrival of a guard.
"Enter." Defurgelo called, a young hedgehog opened the door and saluted.
"Yer Lordship the Abbot from Redwall his Lordship form Salamandastron and King Garthem of Southsward have all arrived at the gates sir." The hedgehog spoke earnestly making sure all the words came out correctly.
"Very good." Defurgelo said placing down his wine on a small table. "Captain Daniel would you please go with young Morty here and escort our friends and their courtiers and brothers and of course sisters from Redwall to their rooms."
The hedgehog Morty was completely surprised that Defurgelo knew his name and was too flustered to speak. Daniel nodded bowed to Defurgelo and exited with Morty.
When she was sure the two were gone the ferret began laughing her voice was soon joined by the otter while the weasel and rat remained silent their expressions unchanging.
"Lady Reina, Sir Calpank compose yourselves, Daniels cluelessness is not something to be laughed at, he is loyal and a skilled warrior, sometimes it takes more brawn the brains to get a task done!" Defurgelo spoke sharply his eyes narrowed, "he will preform what is required of him to the letter which is more then some can claim." His take no nonsense tone immediately silenced the two. The weasel who had remained silent until now spoke up
"Lady would you please inform me at what you are laughing at, I saw nothing funny?" He asked adjusting his stance slightly to see her better.
"That is because you are a soldier and not as educated Captain Voc." Reina spat out the weasels name as if it was something disgusting she had accidently eaten. Voc unfazed by Reina's clear venom merely nodded and returned his gaze to Defurgelo. The fox glared at the two before sitting, rubbing his head and muttering to himself. Raising his head as if remembering the courtiers were still in the room he gestured at the door.
"Lady Reina, Sir Calpank you are dismissed, leave now." The otter and ferret stood and left, knowing better then to argue. Waiting for the two to be able to get a good distance away Defurgelo stood adjusting his circlet and sword he shook his robes.
"I must go great our guests, Captain Voc, double the gourd around the Baker we can only assume that our allies have brought some... agents with them. Make sure you and none of the loyal's are seen, you know the drill." Captain Voc nodded and left not bothering to bow.
Now it was only Defurgelo and the rat who had still not moved barely blinking. Defurgelo turned to the rat his face tightened, even though he knew the rat was loyal only to him he still feared the creature, and Defurgelo feared very few creatures.
"Virren, you know what to do." Defurgelo said softly. The rat made no gesture but a wicked smile crossed his face and he stood, fast and silent he crossed the room and opened the door, and with barely a sound he exited leaving no sign of his existence.
Defurgelo shivered, some creatures seemed to not even be able to see the rat it was like he was a statue at times, completely still and silent. Shaking off the feeling of dread from the rats smile Defurgelo readjusted his circlet again and left making the long walk to the entrance hall of the palace to great his guests.

                      -----------------------------------------------------------

Captain Daniel with Morty still behind him arrived at the gates, there a group of thirty or more creatures had gathered awaiting an escort to the palace itself. The fat Abbot Vilmon was carried on a litter, dressed in fine silks and clothes, the mouse would occasional gesture for one of the brothers or sisters from Redwall to fan him. Daniel was disgusted with the Abbot, being a creature of war he was often blanched at fat or lazy beasts. However he kissed the Abbot's paw and welcomed him to Mossflower City. Commanding several guards too escort the Abbot the entrance hall Daniel waited for the next great leader.
He wasn't disappointed.
Lord Riven in all his power entered next, a massive axe tied to his hip and shining armor on his back the badgers glare was enough to freeze a river. Escorted by several hares he waved Daniel off showing clearly he was capable of finding the very obvious entrance hall.
Next King Garthem entered, his golden crown shining and a golden ring on one claw he was a impressive creature. Perhaps not as impressive as Lord Riven or Defurgelo however he looked kind and walked with his own power and so commanded Daniels respect.
"Follow me Milord." Daniel offered to Garthem and his company allowing them to follow him towards the entrance hall.

The entire group moved towards the palace and Spy Party Begins.

OOC: Hello and welcome to Spy Party, So hopefully if you read that really long start for this RP you have seen a few of my characters for this RP mainly Defurgelo. So I will let you all get started and I will make things as difficult as possible and your job is to figure out what is really happening at Mossflower City, so remember your clues, Good Luck and Have Fun! :)
I apologies in advance for any grammar or spelling mistakes.

Ridley Valton was in the entourage of Abbot Vilmen. The stoat had no love of the abbot, and actually was, rather frankly, downright irritated with him. The abbot always treated the woodlander soldiers better, and was never afraid to show it. If Ridley had been in charge, his first act would have been to throw that fat old excuse for a mouse into the dungeons. But of course, Ridley was not in charge.

Carefully watched by nearby guards, the procession entered the palace. Ridley had been given orders about what to do at this point: he was to disappear into the group, and the find a way to get into the backside of the palace. The abbot had not specified how he was to accomplish such a feat; abbots were not suppose to concern themselves with such work. The abbot had made one thing very clear, however: if Ridley failed this assignment, or brought unwanted attention to the RIA, he would "disappear" from the face of Mossflower. Such a threat was motivation enough.

And then the stoat saw his chance. He broke away from the main group and disappeared into the crowd without a problem. If any nobles saw him, they probably didn't think much of it. One of the benefits of being unassuming was that beasts tended to underestimate and ignore you. With any luck, Ridley would complete his mission by the ball's end. With a lot of luck, he'd complete it even sooner.

Sagtip, or The Wraith, left the company of the King as soon as possible. He went to a bench and stood, scanning the crowd while at the same time identifying several leaders and guards, along with their locatiom. The king safe for now, but you could never be sure when something might happen.

Ridley weaved his way among the crowd. He was tirelessly searching for his quarrey: The captain of ballroom security. This captain would doubtless have the key to the Western door, which, unsurprisingly, led to the Western parts of the castle. It was of the utmost importance that it be obtained as soon as possible, as Ridley couldn't continue his mission without it.

At last, Ridley spotted him. The captain, who was an elderly otter, was engaged in conversation with a far younger hare. The otter was distracted-- an easy target.

"Excuse me, sir," Ridley muttered as he brushed past the captain. In a mere second, Ridley acquired the key and disappeared from the scene. It had been almost too easy.

Almost too easy indeed. The hard part was yet to come.

Collin Starbuck stood near Lord Riven. He kept a close eye on everything that surrounded him. He leaned to the badger: "Sir, I'll take a count of all the members of the other leaders security forces. Just in case."

Sagtip noted the actoin taken by Ridley. He smiled. The time to aquire that key might not even come, if he could slip by as Ridley opened the door. He noted Starbuck leaved Riven's entorage.

Ridley crept down the Western hallway. He knew, from map plans that he had studied, that a door lay at the end of this hallway. Upon entering the door, one could gain acess to the entire Western wing. But, of course, such an action was easier said than done. If Lord Defergulo had any brains, he would have left at least two guards for the door.

At last, Ridley came around a corner and saw the door. It was made of heavy wood, and was guarded by two spear-wielding otters. Ridley knew that barging in would almost surely get him killed; he had to catch the guards by surprise.

Sagetip glanced up at the guards on the upper inner balcony. He considered his options.

OOC: Okay it looks like everything is going good, I just decided that I will probably not get mixed in with whatever you are trying to do however if I see a chance to mess you up, then I will. You are free to knockout or even kill guards in smaller groups no defeating ten guards at once. But remember their bodies will eventually be found.

Sagetip grinned, and walked into a side room that the balcony still followed. Making sure that he wasn't being watched, he swiftly climbed up the wall onto the balcony. He slipped bast the guards, using the shadows, and swiftly unlatched the window to the west wing and slipped past, closing the window behind him. He turned to watch Ripley, then thought better of it, and headed off to the rest of the wing, thinking of the floor plans all the way.

Ridley pushed a ceramic vase off an oaken table, watching as it shattered into hundreds of pieces. Expecting the guards to arrive, the stoat then slipped under a heavy stone bench.

Sure enough, both guards soon came around the corner to see what had happened. While they were inspecting the broken glass, Ridley moved out from under the bench and crept to the door. Inserting his key into the keyhole, he carefully opened the door. Ridley then stepped inside and slowly closed the door behind him. He was in.

Sagetip smiled and headed in the opposite directon the stoat was going. He turned and headed for the library. Maybe the more recent records would tell him something...

OOC: Could you change it so you went through a window above the hallway? It doesn't make much sense for there to be another door directly above it.

Ridley went in the direction of the armory. He had been told that, within the room, there lay the plans for many secret weapons. If these plans could be retrieved, they would be a great benefit to the armies of Redwall.

Hickory

OOC: Done. Sandpaw, is there a certain thing the records should say?

Sagetip watched ripley hurry off. He then turned back to the records.

Starbuck grabbed his weapon and made his way around a prarimiter. Soon, he would have a dedicated rout for each of his men. The lord diserved absolute security. Collin stepped near a homeless mole in an ally. He handed him a few coins. "Get some intel on the SSS." He said. Without a word, the homeless mole walked off, nodding.
