It depends. If they are traveling in opposite directions, they may never collide.

Technically correct. The answer could be "well, they shouldn't be onn the same track, right?"

Next question: A chess board is layed out in the way it is in the very beginning. However, a blck pawn has moved two spaces directly forward. Is this move possible?

Technically it could have happened. The post just says that the Chess board was laid out the way it is in the beginning, not that it actually is the beginning. White and Black could have moved their knights around the board, then returned them to their starting squares, in such a way so that White's knights returned after Black's.
