I  read the first one first. I tried to read them in order but gave up at around Martin the warrior.
"But oh, my love, though our bodies may be parted
though our skin may not touch skin
look for me with the sun-bright sparrow
I will come on the breath of the wind"

My best friend told me I had to read Redwall and after that I was hooked. My parents were so glad to see me actually reading a book the bought me the whole series as a supprise (that was before the last 4 or 5 were released). I read them in order they were written and I went back and reread a few of them. Just recently I have been reading tham in chronological order.
"Defend the weak, protect both young and old, never desert your friends. Give justice to all, be fearless in battle and always ready to defend the right."

—The law of Badger Lords"

I started at the beginning with Redwall and then read the rest in no particular order.
