How long are seasons?

Hey guys I am new to redwall and I noticed something odd, at the end of "Mattimeo" Tim writes that it has been seven seasons since they came home, and that he is the recorder of redwall. He also writes that Mattimeo and Tess are married. However, Baby Rollo wants to be a Squirrel. Correct me if I am wrong but shouldn't Rollo be at least 7? If not then why is Tess married?

A season in generally about three months. *drum snare*

Though in the Tales of Redwall, a season seems to count as a year. Though to be fair, animals age about as quickly IRL, so it evens out.
