Robin Hood RP

Alright, so I have been hankering to do a new RP and I decided to do a Redwall Robin Hoodesk RP with a few twists. I am looking for a diverse cast of characters so keep that in mind when you make your character.

Rules

Rules

-The obvious, no PP or GM
-I would like poast quality to be good, I won't put a word count on this but I will say no one liners, preferably a small paragraph would be best but I understand in fast action scenes that is sometimes not possible (well it is, I have seen it done with marvelous effects but I won't hold you to it)
-I would like for Vermin characters to be bad or at least be gray, there are some good vermin in the world so not every good beast will immediately judge a vermin by his coat but for the purposes of this RP I would like the active character to stick to that rule.
-You can however have a bad woodlander character.
-Please only uses races from the books, Wolves are technically from the book and I am using them but they are very rare and I would prefer if you don't use them.
-There are a list of needed and semi needed characters I would prefer that you pick one from the list before making any original characters
-Do not use the actual names of the characters from real Legend try and come up with a variation.
-Cross spices romances are allowed.
-If you are inactive for a long amount of time I will PM If you still don't respond I may PP your character to keep the RP going.

Name: Arcon D'angilo (A Prince Johnesk Character)
Race: Wolf
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Appearance: Tall Whitish gray fur and blue eyes. A navy blue tunic with black trim, A decorative cape of purple, black boots, a black belt and a long sword in a sheath at his side.
History: His parents were refugees from the High North who moved to The Northlands when Arcon was very young. They always talked about how he was from a proud race and a rich heritage. As he grew up he got teased, shunned, and pushed around because he was a wolf. The one person that really stood up for him was Robin.

They became good friends and some time passed. Arcon learned how to stand up for himself and he was no longer pushed around but people were a little scared of him now. One day one of the villagers accused Arcon of ambushing his cart last night on his way back from market, he said he saw a wolf and a couple of weasels attack him and steal his cart. Arcon denied it but The villager wouldn't believe him, He even went as far as to try and attack Arcon with a hoe. Arcon defended himself and in the heat of the fight he accidentally ended up killing the villager. He tried to explain to the other villagers that it was an accident but they would hear none of it. They violently drove him away. He ran off and joined the army who were going off to fight the threat in the High North.

Soon after Arcon was chased off his parents also packed up and left in the middle of the night. No one knows where they went. At the front lines Arcon saw others of his own kind for the first time. They were real warriors, fighters and tacticians. He strove to be more like them in war and in battle, but he also remembered that they were the ones who had driven his parents from their comfortable life and force him to grow up in poverty.

He became a renowned warrior and rose in the ranks. He was second only to the general. Until one day in a devastating battle they were ambushed. The general was killed and Arcon was stabbed in the leg by one of his own men mistaking him for the enemy. He was healed but he still walked with a limp for a long time after. He returned to The Northlands and went to the King (A Badger) and convinced him to go to the front lines himself and leave him in charge.

While Arcon had been gone a infamous wolf know as only The Bandit, had become a well known criminal in the Northlands. So far all he did was rob travelers, carts and rich homes but Arcon needed to make him a real threat, something to unify the people in fear and gain their loyalty. He hired some criminals and one night he went with them, posing as the bandit, and sacked his old village, burning it to the ground.

The next day he made an announcement that he would not stop until the one who had committed this atrocity payed. He rounded up the criminals he had hired and had them hanged and He bout a reward on The Bandit's head. Not to long after The Bandit was found and turned in (He turned out to be only a large arctic fox with a wolf mask). But there was one problem with Arcon's plan, Robin had seen him, she knew that the bandit was not the one who had destroyed her home and killed all those innocent people.

The day before the execution Robin went to see Arcon. There was a loud and angry argument which ended with robin trying to stab Arcon and her getting dragged out of the castle. The next morning when the execution was supposed to be held Arcon found the bandits cell empty and a note saying "I don't know what happened to you but you changed, I can't let you get away with these things and I will do everything in my power to stop you, ~Robin". So instead of an execution Arcon made an announcement, The Bandit had escaped with the help of an otter name Robin, they were both traitors and the person who could bring them in would be given a huge reward.  

Name: Robin Springs (AKA Robin Hood)
Race: Otter
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Appearance: She looks like your average otter, if perhaps a bit tall for a girl. She wears a quarter sleeved hooded green tunic over  a slightly lighter green long sleeved shirt and green pants with a pair of brown boots and a brown braid rope belt. She has a bow and arrows on her back.  
History: Robin was the second oldest of the children of Henry, the lord of  Newhorn a small village near the southern border of The Northlands. They lived in a large wooden house much like those of the other villagers but larger. Robins younger sister was called Malena and her older brother was named Donavin. When Arcon and his family arrived in the northlands her father allowed them to stay in his village so long as they stayed peaceful and followed the laws. This all happened when Robin was very little she could not remember a time when the wolf family was not living in Newhorn.

Robin soon became good friends with Arcon and stood up for him when the others teased him. They spent a lot of time together and played all sorts of games. Time passed and Robin was still Arcons only friend, she trained a little with him but did it more to support him than for herself. She didn't see the need to get violent, Arcon always said it was just for self defence but sometimes Robin wondered why he was really doing it. Her brother Donavin left to join the army as soon as he was old enough and she wondered if Arcon would do the same, even though he said he didn't want to leave his parents alone.

When Arcon was driven out of the village Robin knew that he had not been the one who had ambushed the villager on the road last night because they had been at their secret tree house in the woods that night, they had been making blueprints for a new project. She stood up for him but no one believed her, she even tried to find him and bring him back but all she could find was news that he had joined the army to fight in the High North. Eventually she just gave up and continued to live her life.

The Bandit soon became a bigger threat and the villagers realized that they had probably judged Arcon too soon, but it was to late now. Several years passed and Robin received news that Arcon had returned but before she could go and see him her village was attacked. The houses burned. She saw The Bandit enter her house and set it on fire. She grabbed the closest weapon she could find, a bow, and ran into the house. She jumped on him from behind and tried to strangle him with the bow string. There was a struggle in which Robin was thrown off and The Bandit's mask fell off to reveal Arcon underneath. Robin was shocked and confused which soon turned to anger and hurt. Arcon ran. The house was now ablaze and Robin ran upstairs to get Malena out. As they were leaving a beam fell and landed on Malenas legs. Robin was able to get her out just in time before the house collapsed, Her parents died and her sister was permanently lame.

Robin took Malena to a healer and left her in the healers care while she went to confront Acron. She asked him why he did it, why he had to kill all those people The argument rose in intensity with Arcon denying it the whole time untill Robin, in a fit of grief, tried to stab Arcon with a knife. She was dragged out and to every ones surprise Arcon ordered that she be escorted out of the castle and released. That night Robin snuck into the castle and helped the Bandit escape. Leaving the note behind for Arcon to find. She then escapes into Altwood to hide.

Several years have passed since then and she has come to be known as Robin Hood.


Name: Malena Springs (A Marianesk Character)
Race: Otter
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Aperance: She is spindly and short with light brown fur. She is crippled in both legs and rides in a special cushioned cart most of the time. However she is still very pretty despite it. She wears a pretty modest  lavender dress which covers her legs.
History: Malena was the youngest daughter of Lord Henry and the younger sister of Robin. She was a simple child and a sweet innocent girl. She loved the simple things, flowers and summer rain and a bird's song, art and music and embroidery. Unlike Robin she never wandered very far from home. She was woken up one night and the house was all ablaze Robin rushed her downstairs but it was to late, a beam fell on her crushing her legs. Robin managed to get her out and she took her to a healer, It was a long time before she could leave the bed and even then she still could not walk. She had to be carried or pushed around in a special cart. Through all this She hardly ever saw Robin. She knew Robin tried and she did visit occasionally, but she knew if Robin was caught the consequences would be grave.

After the accident Malena lived a comfortable life on the charity of Lord Arcon, she had a nice house and a staff of servants to help her. Even though Robin had told her what Arcon had done, Robin had made her promise to pretend that she didn't know.

Ashleg's character

Name: Quetzal F. Embett
Race: Pine Marten
Gender: Male
Age: 45
Appearance: Quetzal is of an average height for one of his species...Though he's a tad bit overweight *though not so much that it stops him from doing anything.* His fur (which is beginning to gray in some areas) is brown, with a yellowish orange underbelly/neck area. He has light brown eyes and wears a periwinkle-toned tunic with a black belt around his middle and a dark blue hat with an orange feather. He wears a couple bracelets and one golden earring on his right ear. He keeps his cutlass in his belt but is not above using teeth and claws for weapons if he has to.
History: As a Dibbun, Quetzal was good to his parents, but that didn't mean they liked him. He was adopted (and the parents were two mice), and had two twin brothers whom they preferred, and because of this he was converted to an outcast. He felt hated and thus became bitter and cold-hearted over time.
As a young adult, he attacked and killed one of his siblings and his mother in a fit of rage, only to be thrown out (both metaphorically and literally) by his angry dad.
His father was the Sheriff at the time, but died because of old age. Afterwards, he was on the run all the time until Acron came into power.
He had an excuse to get the position due to what his father had been during the old King's rule, and after seeing this as an opportunity to rise in status, Quetzal seized the chance and took over as Sheriff.
Nobeast knew what he'd done except for his brother, who had been in on it.
Other: Well...Geez, here's a villain. XD
He doesn't know what the F in his name stands for because nobody would tell him, so when that comes up he tries to change the subject. But that is all. owo

LT's Characters

Name: Avis Al'Tune
Race: hedgehog
Gender: Male
Age: 36

Appearance: A pleasant faced thin old fellow Avis Al'Tune always has a cheery smile for everybeast. His spikes are particularly sharp and his eyes are a bright blue. He wears a dull yellow tunic with brown breeches which is paired with a light brown traveling cloak. Upon his headspikes is a dainty black cap with a small feather sticking from it. On his feet are a pair of brown sandals. All of his clothes look as if they had seen better days with holes and tears all through his coverings. He carries only a short dagger that he doesn't know how to use and his two prized instruments. The first being a small wooden lute, and the second being a musical pipe.

History: Al'tune was a traveler from birth. Raised by a family of wandering musicians after his parents had been killed in a landslide, Avis learned to play and sing from an early age. After leaving his adopted family Avis set out to find his own audience learning many different styles of entertainment such as, juggling, acting, and evening a little tumbling. He was always a witty creature and loved it when his audience laughed.

After several seasons of continuous roving Al'tune turned his gaze north and went farther than he had ever gone before. As the land grew colder he could no longer find pleasant cheery faced folk that had so loved his songs. As he pressed on, for he was a determined creature he found himself trapped in a blizzard that threatened to kill him. Starving and nearly frozen to death he was found by a family of dormice and taken in to wait out the winter months. He paid his rent to the family with his talents and sadly his happy time there ended once the snowy days passed.

Deciding that the frigid north with its many unpleasant creatures and wars wasn't the place for him Al'tune began journeying back across the land southbound. Except this time he took a more westward course and found himself in Newhorn. Or rather what used to be Newhorn. He stayed helping the survivors until his endless urge to move on came across him again. He hit the road once again but hadn't gotten far when he met Robin, a newly alleged criminal. After hearing the otter's story Avis offered his assistance in any way he could provide it.

While Avis still travels about he sticks close to Altwood and the surrounding territory, using his talents to spread tales of the great Robin Hood.


Name: Luis Vonil A.K.A Captain Voc
Race: Ferret
Gender: Male
Age: 23

Appearance: Luis is a lithe handsome creature with a visage that seems to radiate his crafty self-interest. His eyes are pitch black and a roughish gleam shines out of them. His fur is gray and light brown with his natural mask having a darker color. He wears a tan jerkin and a black naval coat. He goes bare pawed and bare headed though a blue handkerchief he wears around his neck makes an excellent covering when needed. At his hip is a sheathed cutlass with a plain hilt and scabbard. The blade itself isn't particularly special, and is simply a convenient tool.

History:Luis Vonil was at one point the son of a rich merchant sailing with his father on the fine vessel Seashell While onboard Luis was raised as a gentle beast, something that did not match his demeanor. For Vonil was a wild creature with a sense of adventure. He was constantly getting in trouble and insulting his father's important guests and business partners.

During one of their voyages Luis's father perished in a storm leaving Luis his fortune and vast warehouses of valuable trade. All of which Luis began wasting on excessive parties, fine company, strong drink, and bad trade agreements. More than one beast took advantage of the gullible young trader and soon Luis was out of money. Unperturbed he sold his last ship, fired the crew and went to talk with the southern coast's lord. Being a foolish creature Luis got tipsy an insulted the landlord and his family. The lord ordered him to be arrested, but when the marshal came forward to seize the young vagabond he was stabbed by a bread knife. When the lord's guards came forward to seize the new criminal Luis ran, albeit rather clumsily back to where his crew were staying in a tavern. Telling them he had bought a new ship and had rehired them.

Cheering his crew dashed out onto the Warf and boarded their 'new' ship, a fine thing called the His Royal Pleasure. As they sailed out onto the main, when one of the cooks discovered an unloyal counterpart down in the hold counting out supplies, and eventually the whole story came out. Luis had in one day managed to steal the southern lord's best ship, wound his marshal, and worst of all insulted the royal.

After only one day at sea the crew decided to turn around and tell the lord how they had been tricked, while turning in Vonil. Hoping to gain the lord's pardon. And as much as Luis disagreed they made their plans reality by turning the ship around. Upon the sighting of land and a full squadron of angry guards Luis jumped overboard and swam along the coast. His crew didn't give chase and sailed the ship up to the Warf where they were all taken prisoner. Luis managed to swim up to a hidden inlet where a team of guards who had been watching his progress captured him. He was taken into custody and branded as a pirate with a large P on his left wrist.

However Luis managed to escape with a small stroke of luck, he rescued some of his crew and re-stole the ship His Royal Pleasure Renaming it the Masked Luck Luis made a name for himself as a notorious thief, a capable sailor, and a deadly pirate. All under the name Captain Voc.

After a few long seasons of pirating Luis, now Voc, discovered the Infamous Rouge Crew had him in their sights and were chasing him down. As was a very angry Southern lord. Then he was informed that a mutiny was closing in on him from some of his trusted crewbeasts. Deciding the ocean wasn't in his best interests anymore Luis jumped ship as the Rouge Crew, and the Southern lord, and the crew enacted they're attack. It was believed that he had died in the battle that ensued however it was never confirmed.

In reality he had swam to shore and decided to travel inland and be away from the sea for a while. After hearing a story about the lavish Northlands Luis decided to travel there to see if one really could pull gold out of the rivers. He is now walking down the paths close to Newhorn searching for his evidently nonexistent treasure.

Gonff's characters

Name: Midge (His name in another Robin Hood version) Pyle (Gave him a last name for what its worth), the Molder's Son (Another change from Miller's Son) So Midge Pyle, the Molder's Son.
Race: Rabbit
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Appearance: Wears a rugged, tan bandanna, covering his forehead and sometimes his ears. He has a dark brown vest, with a white undershirt, underneath (Duh). His pants are also a tan, but in better condition than what tops his head. A belt spans his waist, with a small dagger tucked underneath, along with a hammer used mainly for moulding and such duties. Going down to his feet, they are left bare, for he wants to connect to the forest (Even if he is rowdy and such). To top it all off, his bright green eyes match those of Summer leaves, and make this rascal a lovable one at that.
History: His father was a Molder in Newhorn, and supported his wife, three kids, and brother. He was top Moulder, and has been one of the ones to help build Newhorn when it was close to completion. Midge, being the eldest of this brother and sister, was being trained by his father to know what kind of materials and such to use and when. That was as far as he got.

At the age of 12 or 13, the fire broke out. Midge's family were all at home when it occurred, while he was out testing seeing if any stores were still open. When the city was evacuated, there were no signs of his parents, siblings, and uncle. All that was left was his sister's burnt remains. To this day, he still does not know what happened to his dear family.

In pure horror and dismay, he took some of his father's tools and ran to Altwood, where he met a traveling merchant. At the age of 15, he encountered Robin Hood, and became part of band. He still carries the pain of that day with him. All he wants to do his find out if his parent's are still alive. That would give him peace.

Name: Jack of Jamestown
Race: Weasel
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Appearance:(Clothing and weapons go here as well): A dagger and a sword, normal clothes (his clothes in the legend are horse-hide
History: Learned sword-fighting at an early age so he could have something to do. Later on he learned how to shoot a bow and throw a knife. Lost his parents in his teen years and immediately became a mercenary to support himself financially and socially. Has a polished reputation as a merc and gets the job done. Doesn't like romance very much because of a failed marriage early on, but beuatiful Maid Malena shall change that soon...

Name: Brother Stoh

Race: Mole (because I can)

Age: 41

Appearance: Stocky and thick, Stoh is pretty average in height for a mole. He wears a gray hermit's robe, complete with hood and wide sleeves, though instead of a sash or rope he wears a belt. He also wears an iron helm and carries an arming sword (knightly sword, one-handed sword, etc.) at his side.

History: Stoh is a member of the Brothers of Chivalry, something he joined a long while back. Before joining, Stoh was a well-respected member of a mole society, with good parents who taught him all the important things like making hearty pies and digging holes. He was far too gruff a personality to marry, though, so he stayed single. Stoh had a rather strict code he followed, trying to do the right thing even if it meant fighting, which earned him the reputation of being the best swordbeast in the land as well as being one of the most just creatures one would want to be dealt with by. Despite his rough demeanor and gravelly voice, Stoh would smile crookedly and laugh at any other joke, often making others laugh with his blunt heckling.
  One day a brother of the order passed through his settlement, and when he left Stoh went with him and became a brother himself. The brothers were constantly on the move, all over the wide countries, helping here and there in what way they found best. Once Stoh was able he also left, looking for creatures to help and spread kindness and justice wherever he might happen through, stubbornly staying through floods and fights, and always a avid helper of cleaning up any food left from the weak-stomached creatures who cannot stand more than a single helping at a feast.
  And so the mole found himself in the Altwood area, hoping to meet some good company.

I've always loved Disney's Robin Hood and this is very close to it--plus it's Redwall-ish so that's even better.

Of course you can have Alan. If if makes you feel any better Will scarlet and Alan a Dale where interchangeable in some of the versions of legend. (Meaning that the name was used for the same character in different versions, however is some versions they where both there own character.)

And feel free to make another character the second one doesn't have to be one from the list.

Sorry but This Rp was actually based of an Idea I had several months ago involving much of Arcon's and Robins back story. After I came up with the idea I was like Oh that is allot like Robin hood so I continued on that them and messed around with the idea until I adapted it to turn it into a RP. I guess what I am saying is that I didn't mean to hog all the best characters to myself... it just kind of happend XP
