News report says Patricia has made landfall and is the strongest recorded hurricane in history.

Prayers and thoughts go towards the people of Mexico for this crisis.

Yes, this is just awful. I can remember Katrina to an extent, and it was so violent, so I hate to see what this one will bring. I will be praying indeed.
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Aye.. This is terrible.. I hope everyone in Mexico is prepared.. Ill be praying for them..
Not all those who wander are lost.

Katrina was Cat 3, Patricia is expected to be Cat 5 by landfall.

Oh dear.

I shall pray for them.
The fastest way to a man's heart- Or anyone's, in fact- Is to tear a hole through their chest.

Indeed. You are as ancient as the soot that choked Pompeii into oblivion, though not quite as uncaring. - Rusvul

Just a butterfly struggling through my chrysalis.

Jukka the Sling

Yes, I heard about this.  I'll be praying.

The news says that the hurricane has been downgraded into a tropical storm. Still, it could be devastating. I'm praying.

Thanks, MatthiasMan, for the avatar!

Sorry to crush your hopes, Sky, but the chance of it staying a tropical storm is very small.

Hmm, well it looks like it's decreasing in size, but another spike is most definitely possible.

I hope everyone is ok. The last article I read said there haven't been any reports of fatalities or major damage, so that's good.

Last I heard it apparently isn't going to be as strong as feared. But my heart still goes out to the people of Mexico. May Yahewah protect them.

Cornflower MM

I hope everyone's okay over there!

Hey, you guys know something weird? My mom got curious day  before yesterday, I think, and went onto her weather reporting site, Wunderground, and zoomed out. There wasn't a single drop of rain showing over or near Mexico. When she went on satellite, there wer eplenty of clouds, but no rain. And it obviously rained. Weird right?
