Swish!
Another arrow sped from nowhere and in an instant it thrust itself into Bitey's tail, pinning it to the ground. A thunderous pealing voice also rang from the same direction, shouting an urgent warning to the ottermaid.
"Get away, comrade, run! Run to the forest behind you! Quick!"

OOC: Dotti, and Rosey, when you characters hit Groddil's it was power playing and it's generally discouraged. You wont have to change your posts if Groddil is OK with it, but please try not to do it any more.
Never trust a smiling pirate.  :D

I can do that because I'm awesome.

"It really gets up my nose when publishers call my book another Lord of the Rings. It's my bloody book! I wrote it. And another thing, I didn't have to plunder Norse and European mythology to do it!" - Brian Jacques.

Groddil

OOC: Its fine this time.

BIC: Bitey screeched with pain and shot arrow after arrow at the ottermaid. The shafts, driven only by blind rage, fell short spectacularly.

Ashleg

"Bitey! Ohh--I'll skin yah fer that!" Ghasritz hollered, going after Selene.

Lady Ashenwyte

A wolverine and a mole walked into the vermin camp, the wolverine using his massive bulk to scare off anybeast who would try to stop them. "Where is the one they call the Abbot of Redwall?" He roared, hefting his axe. "I have come to fulfil my oath!"
The fastest way to a man's heart- Or anyone's, in fact- Is to tear a hole through their chest.

Indeed. You are as ancient as the soot that choked Pompeii into oblivion, though not quite as uncaring. - Rusvul

Just a butterfly struggling through my chrysalis.

Ashleg

Ghasritz skidded to a halt and smirked up at the wolverine that had came thundering into his camp.
"We know nothin' of Abbots 'n' oaths, Pal. I'm Chief here, and if ya know what's good for you, you'd get going."

Groddil

A rank-and-file ferret spat at the wolverine.
"Yer a bit late fer that, matey. Killed 'im, we did. Now anyone that survived Redwall is led by some one-armed stripedog. Big fella, big scythe, pretty scary lookin'. Bet 'ee could break yer neck in a single swipe!"

Drew the vole was lost. He dropped his sack of valuables and looked around. The vole recognized nothing, but brandishing the kitchen knife, he shouldered the sack and continued to blunder through the woods. Drew did not know how close he was to the vermin camp.

Bul had led his fellow wounded warriors to the quarry. He consulted with the old mouse again, who told tales of how the quarry was constantly overrun by snakes. Bul brandished the scythe carefully as he descended the rough red stone path.

Lady Ashenwyte

"Who are you, and what gives you confidence that I won't slay you and the rest of your band with my bare hands? Answer my question!" Arslan roared. The mole, Felix, whispered to him. "Maybe it would be wiser to pledge your allegiance to this beast, as much of an affront to your honour that would be."

Ghasritz blinked casually at Arslan, twirling his tail in his paw.
"Because," the rat said, "I'm a seer an' seers know things." He smiled sweetly and began to turn away, then whirled around, eyes flashing. "And don't you dare talk to me or my horde like that again, Scumface, or I'll slay ya three times over!"

Groddil

"Yeah! Don't insult us or the Chief'll slay yer!"
The pine marten raised his bow, string stretched taught ready to fire.
"I don't like this mole, Chief. Try'n to get us to betray yer. Can I slay 'im?"

Lady Ashenwyte

"A seer, are you? You sound like a charlatan. " Arslan heard the pine marten, and roared with rage, attempting to cleave Ghasritz into two. "Let the dark powers you serve protect you, rat!

"Yeah, slay 'im, Bitey!" Ghasritz leapt out of the way of the attack and smiled sweetly, though his voice was sour. "Getting violent with me when I was just talking to you?" The rat frowned, baring his teeth.
"Then I'll have to kill you."
He tightened his grip on his dagger and launched himself at Arslan.

Lady Ashenwyte

The wolverine was unprepared, and the dagger cut into him, while Felix loaded his crossbow and fired at Bitey. Arslan roared, and attempted to grab Ghasritz.

Ghasritz felt Arslan nearly grab his arm, but he moved away in time and backed off.
Though he was a good fighter, he'd never be able to take down a fully grown wolverine with only a dagger.
"I hope ya learned your lesson!" He snapped.

Lady Ashenwyte

"A lesson? This is the lesson I learned!" The wolverine picked up the mole with his massive strength, and attempted to leave the camp hacing down all who opposed him.
