OOC: EVERYONE PSOT!
I'm guessing Filargo has already dropped off Grenlik, because it might be an awkward meeting between him and Bracklew.

IC:

Flagging down the raft Bracklew stepped out into the shallows so the water swirled around his ankles. It was bitterly cold and he winced a little, regretting the decision. His fur would take forever to dry, and it might freeze.
"Lucky he was coming down just now," Bracklew mentioned looking back at Asher and Harnam. "This is the right Filargo right?"

"Hopefully," said Asher. He solo shed through the icy water to Filargo. "Gotcher payment, mate," he said, extending the bag of food before clambering aboard and holding out a paw for the others.

Alfhild scratched her chin.
"Hmm. Good question, Fastooth. I'd say about half..."

"Believe me, Chief, that's too much," Rapshade cut in. "Those shrews'd be good as dead with just fifteen of us against 'em. Fastooth, why not run along?"

I'm guessing Filargo has already dropped off Grenlik, because it might be an awkward meeting between him and Bracklew. Nope. He hasn't. >:D

Filargo clapped his hands with joy and laughed loudly.
"Why're ye both in th' water? Eeh hee hee! Yer squirrels, just jump from the trees ta th' raft!"
His tone changed as Asher handed him the food.
"Ah, thankee very much, thankee very much. Glad somebeasts know 'ow this works. Go take a seat inside, I'll let yer know when we's gettin' close ta yer destination... Where are ye goin'?"

Hickory

Asher shook off some water. "There should be an otterwife's dwelling somwhere along here, know anything about it?"

"Mmm, you're with them underground creatures, aincha? Ye'd be lookin' fer miss Aquila, th' one who lost 'er babe. Aye, I knows where she lives. 'Op aboard, its not far by raft!"

Hickory

Harnam followed Asher aboard, and they waited for Bracklew to come up himself. Asher nodded to Filargo. "Sounds 'bout right. Soon as our friend gets aboard, let's go."

Using the natural agility of his species Bracklew sprang aboard avoiding any extra contact with the water. His landing was less then dignified but he picked himself up, shaking what water he could from his footpaws. "How long of a journey is that?" Shakily balancing as the raft moved into deeper waters. "I don't suppose it'll be quick and painless?"

"I jus' told ye, 'tis not far. An' so long as ye gets along with everybeast, there won't be no trouble."
Filargo shoved his paddle out from under the root, setting the raft in motion. He began to whistle again as he steered the craft away from the bank, towards a side stream.

OOC: I'm assuming "everybeast" is in the cabin, and not out in plain view.

IC:

Looking around confused Bracklew shook his head, deciding not to question it. Perhaps there was someone tucked away in the little house, but otherwise the deck seemed clear. "That's good," He murmured in response to Filargo. "I haven't had the best experiences on water, any time spent off of it is just fine by me." He knelt down, resting towards the middeck, looking at Asher for guidance or instruction. He supposed there was no reason to keep watch, or do anything, and if there was Asher would mention it. Until something was said he felt content to rest, massaging some warmth back into his frozen footpaws for the time being.

OOC: I'm assuming "everybeast" is in the cabin, and not out in plain view. Yes. Grenlik's vermin and a few woodlanders are all inside. Filargo is the only one on deck.

Filargo raised an eyebrow at Bracklew.
"What're ye doin'? Yer soakin' wet, git inside. 'Tis warmer there. An' I don't want anybeast on deck 'cept me. Makes things easier if we comes across any trouble."

Hickory

Asher did similar to Bracklew, squeezing out the ice water from his fur. Shifting his dirk into better paw reach, he stood up, quickly surveying the surrounding woodland. But the fact was going by too fast to keep a steady eye on much, and the black squirrel gave up.

"Let's take the cabin," agreed Asher. "Harn- Bracklew, stan' close to the door, keep an eye out fer anythin' suspicious."

"Ye ain't th' chief skinny," Fastooth growled glaring at Rapshade. "An if'n ye only need fifteen hordebeast to take on them half-mice, why ye worried 'bout them t'all?"

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Aye Ashe- Uh should be calling you chief or something?" Bracklew asked as he stood. The young squirrel ambled to the cabin door opening it, one glance inside and he closed it again, his fur spiking up. "There's vermin in there," He growled accusingly at Filargo. "What're you playing at vole?"

OOC:

I don't think Brack would recognize Grenlik or any of his scouts per say. But they ought to recognize him from Alfhild's duel.

Ignoring Rapshade, Fardan turned to walk away. "Good, that's settled, Fastooth, come here. I just thought of something you can do for me..."

OOC-
Can someone please play one of the vermin that goes with her and some of the shrews? The rest will be NPCs. If nobody does I'll be roleplaying with myself for who knows how long.
IC-
"Go an' join them if ya like 'em so much!" Rapshade called after them, fuming as Alfhild dealt him a smart slap to the face with her claws outstretched.
"...Why waste your energy with me, dear Auntie?" He murmured through clenched teeth.

Alfhild smirked coolly as she hopped onto a tree stump to give an announcement.
The ferret raised her voice in a calming, sing-songy fashion. "Attention, Horde! Let a dozen and three gather under this tree, for I promise promotions and glory to vermin who come attack the Guosim shrews with me!"

Nice going, Poet. Rapshade brooded.

Meanwhile, back at Redwall, Roscoe had evaded the tired eyes of the Abbot with a serving of ease.
He slunk through the corridors, contemplating wether or not he should go through with his orders or report back to Alfhild that he'd marked the trail to the Vigil's secret entrance and recorded the names in his mind.
He was deep in thought with himself when suddenly he tripped and fell over Maxy, the pale squirrel Dibbun, and fell flat on his stomach.
Scrambling to his footpaws, the weasel snapped, "Watch where yer...! Oh."
His eyes softened as he recognized the face.

...Then Maxy burst out crying, and he heard somebeast shout from the other room; "What's going on?!"
