"Thank you, Winterberry. I apologize for my intrusion at this hour, but as it turns out, there is somebeast within these walls I have to speak with urgently. Will you do me this simple service, and allow me inside?"

*****

One-Ear continued to fight off the strange creatures, barely hearing Asher over all the screams. He looked around, but could not see Aver. Most likely surrounded by more of the vile things. He noticed the leader of the beasts crouching in the hole in the roof and grinned.
"Asher! Cut through these things and meet me underneath where the roof splits!"
With his free paw, One-Ear pushed aside another creature and slapped the pouch on his belt roughly. Using his katana to keep the beasts at bay, he fumbled with the strap, opening the pouch. The fox tore out a bolt from the pouch and inserted it quickly onto the crossbow. Holding the crossbow under his arm, he cut through the creatures, aiming to meet up with Asher.

Ashleg

"Heh...it's Duncan." The hare said, chuckling under his breath.
"We're a bit wary lately. Who is it ya have to speak to?"

Groddil

Seacloak raised an eyebrow.
"Very well...Duncan. I need to speak with a hare, like yourself. When we left the Wetlands, I sent him to the "Vigil" to see if he managed to find my...advisor on their travels. After all, a search is easier with an army, no?"

Ashleg

Duncan raised an eyebrow suspiciously. "A hare? By the ears, mate, as far as I know, I'm the only hare that ballyflippin'lutely lives here. And the Vigil, you say? Well, I, urmh..."

Fang peeked out again, calling to the badger, "We don't like the Vigil here."

Groddil

"SILENCE, RAT!"
Seacloak composed himself again and turned back to Duncan.
"Why do you let your prisoners roam free like this? And as far as my messages tell me, the Vigil is within your walls."

Hickory

"Your messages are wrong," said Ava, who had walked up behind Fang. "They don't usually come here, instead they stay in the forest."

/\^/\

Fardan inclined his head at Vadoma. "The prisoner isn't completely useless. I'm sure any information regarding the Abbey or our mysterious assailants earlier would be useful," he said, shifting his yellow gaze towards Bracklew.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Groddil

OOC: Uh...Does Ava know that the entire Vigil is like 10 metres away from her?

Hickory

OOC:

In all honesty, it seemed as though they were pretending that the Vigil weren't at redwall, at least that's what I got from Ashleg's post. I think we should wait for him...
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Groddil

OOC: It sorta looks like that, but it doesn't really make sense.

BIC:
Seacloak's face shaped into a grin.
"Really? Then who are THEY?"
He pointed to three soldiers, 2 mice and an otter, dressed in Vigil tunics that walked behind the Redwallers.
"They don't look like Abbeydwellers. Armor, swords, Vigil emblem. Let me speak with them."

Hickory

Ava turned to face the Vigil soldiers, all of whom were a little confused. "Lord Seaclock here wishes to speak to you," grunted the Badgermum, decidedly formal in the face of a visitor, if she could call him that.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Groddil

The Vigil soldiers slowly made their way to the gate. One of them, the otter, mumbled something.
"Yes Lord...Seacloak? What d'ya want with us?"
"Needle. A hare, one of your number. Find him and bring him here."
"Needle? Y'mean the second-in-command? Never thought 'ee'd know a lord. Yes, sir, we'll bring 'im 'ere."

Ashleg

"Pfft, Seacloak? Did they really just call 'im Seacloak?" Fangfang suppressed a giggle, though he was purposely being loud enough for he badger to hear. "And I thought my name was bad! Somebeast that marches around callin' 'imself Seacloak isn't going to get me to shut up!"
"Fang, shut it." Duncan snapped.
The rat mimicked him under his breath and called out again, "Oh, an' by the way, big guy, I'm nobeast's 'prisoner' an' I'll go where I please. Thank. You!"

"What's with the temper all of the sudden?" Duncan hissed, turning and marching inside, angry that Seacloak saw through him and that Fang was being all snarky.

Groddil

"Do I have to tell you again, RAT? By the Dark Forest's Gates, if you said that to me at the Wetlands, you'd be thrown to Sheba. Go back to your cell."
Once both of the others had gone back inside, Seacloak strode through the gates towards the Vigil.

OOC: Ashleg, bring on the Needle. :P

Ashleg

OOC-
Yaaaaawwwn.
I wish I'd made my own character as a deputy rather than adopted one out, I'd like him ten times more...  ::)
IC-
"I--I'll lock you in a cell, loudmouth!" Fang retorted, yelping when Duncan's paw extended from the door and pulled him inside by the cloak collar.

Needle skirted around the other Vigil members and went to the front, bobbing his head at Seacloak.

Groddil

OOC:  :'(  (Also, PPing is about to happen)

BIC:
Seacloak grabbed Needle's paw and motioned towards the gate.
"Don't say a word until we're out of here."

*****

After leading Needle out of the Abbey, Seacloak motioned him to sit on a fallen log in the woods. Sitting across from the hare, he pulled out his blade and idly sharpened it while speaking.
"Okay, report. You've been with the Vigil long enough, even made seconder. What have you learnt. Have you tracked the foxes? Where is the younger one."
