Oh yeah? It worked for me several times. Just grab a banana, peel it, and rub the banana all over the disk. Wipe off the banana with a baby wipe, run the disk under a tiny bit of water, and dry it off. Works like new.

It also works with toothpaste, but only the thick white stuff. Not with any "gel" type toothpaste.

Huh... I don't have any bananas or the kind of toothpaste I would need, but that's really interesting. I think my brother has another disk, or we used to, so I'll have to go hunt for it (already did, but I'll be more thorough next time ).

 Instead of rubbing bananas or toothpaste all over your discs just use some regular dish soap. Works just as well, and is less of a mess to clean up.

Well after several grueling hours of rubbing nearly three hundred different substances on a collection scratched disc I found that dish soap worked the best for video games, and lemon juice worked best for DVDs.
