Books to read after Redwall

     I have reached a point in life where I have finished reading the Redwall series and don't know where to go next. Please post of any books with a similar theme. I'll start with a book I read recently called Urchin of the Riding Stars. It is about a Squirrel that lives on an island with other creatures and has many adventures while trying to rescue the island from rising evil. Well, there is Watership Down, a very good book based solely on rabbits, but in a more real life setting.

A good series with quite a lot of reading in it is the Duncton Wood trilogy of books. They are about Moles, with the plot containing love, an evil power, and a whole lot of good, engaging reading. Like the previous mention, it is set in a more real life type setting, but there is no human interaction. Just good ol' Moles.

Hmm, Mistmantle Chronicles? Why does that sound familiar?

As for similar books. . . I really haven't found many. I recommend expanding your reading to other places like sci-fi, historical fiction, even non-fiction, so that you can get some more enjoyment out of the series you already love.

In case you didn't know, there's four more Mistmantle books after Urchin of the Riding Stars. There's the Rats of NIMH trilogy, just don't watch the movies. There in modern times and the animals live near humans but don't interact with them very much until the last book, which was the worst of the three. I've heard of some series called Warriors, I think it's about cats. My mom didn't let me read it though.

Yeah Warriors is good, and there's like ten million of them (And more coming) so you could try that. It's about cats in a more real-life setting. There's also Seekers (About bears) and that dog one I forget the name of, under the same pen name, Erin Hunter.

Every time I saw the Cover for the first Seekers book, my stomach would start to hurt and I would throw up. Still happens today (I gave the book away though).

Man, I'm telling you I'm halfway gagging at this point because of that cover. Really, nothing like this has ever happened with anything. Does blood and gore make you sick Gonff? Nope. How about disgusting and dreadful things? Not really? How about this book cover? *Goes and starts throwing up stomach*. Y'all I am the oddest thing in the world sometimes.
