Groddil: HIAG is referencing the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams. The opening scene in the movie is dolphins (the second most intelligent life forms on Earth, according to the narrator) leaping out of the water and flying away in response to the impending Vogon destruction of Earth, to make way for
an interstellar highway. In the same book, 42 is known as the answer to life.
