Well. Then Del shows up later on in the roleplay and has an entry point. He was kindapped or something. Our trip is delayed so me and Seb can fight in Salamandastron all we want- I mean the trip is delayed, but eventually someone decides to step up to the role of captain. We could use this thread as inspiration. 'What do we do now' seems to be written everywhere here XD
But it was just an idea soo...

Hmm... Only problem with that is how exactly Del manages to get back to the ship which is god only knows where by then. I suppose if we end up getting rid of the pre-existing captain, it would make sense for mine to step up to the position, but I'd rather keep him as the Mate to be honest. Maybe someone could make a new character that gets chosen for the event?

I'm fine with whatever works. Just a suggestion though... could we keep the captain a very shady creature who stays in his cabin and doesn't like coming out often? (Until Del comes back) Whatever works though.

       When I spoke with Delth (briefly), it didn't seem like he was likely to return (possibly at all) in any decent time. As such, my recommendation is to have someone fully take on the role of captain to keep things rolling smoothly (especially since we have multiple young RP'ers here).

In that case, I suppose the main question (aside from who takes that position) is if we recycle Del's captain or just retcon in a different one.

We could hold a vote! And not just here- but in-story! Like, the Captain has mysteriously vanished after the feast and we're all there the next morning waiting to leave and then we are trying to decide who should be the next Captain?

I don't think medieval sailing vessels had democracy.  Most likely the badger dude is just gonna pick a new captain (or promote the mate, but like i said, i don't want to play the captain)
