I'm going to assume by 'pants' you mean trousers, rather than underpants. Otherwise that would be a weird observation for you to make.

Eb, we've been over this. 'Pants' is a term used for everything that covers from the waist down (basically). If somebeast is talking about underpants, they'll specify. Otherwise, they're talking about trousers. (or whatever else they're wearing)
