[In a flashback, Milhouse is walking through Italy with Grandma Nana Sophie.]
Milhouse: [voice-over] My grandma hated English, 'cause in World War II, a GI left her with child, my uncle B-a-s-t-a-r-d-o. She only spoke Italian to me.
Nana Sophie: [Italian] These, my cherub, are olives.
Young Milhouse: I love you, Nana. [gets slapped]

Milhouse: [voice-over] Every time I spoke English, she hit me.

And talk about how I just made a list of 40 characters, some canon, some semi-canon, some completely made up, to be Sorted in 1971 (same year as the Marauders, Snape and Lily), for an AU fic I'm trying to write? Sure.

Done alphabetically by surname and colour-coded to show houses, as well as individual lists for each house.

And I refuse to do the same for every other year as I've already used most of the canon characters that could fit.
