Favorite Mythical/Legendary/Imaginary Creatures

What sorts of made-up or mythical creatures do you think are cool?

Personally, my favorite would be Barghests.  These are part of legends in parts of England, namely Yorkshire.  It is supposedly a spectral being that appears in the form of a huge black dog and preys on travelers on dark nights and near graveyards.

I also like more traditional werewolf myths.  I picture werewolves to look just like large, ferocious, supernaturally strong wolves, not like part wolf-part man hybrids.

I always liked Cerberus as well, as well as Fenrir, Hugin and Munin, of Norse myths.

  Dragons and gryphons are probably my favorite mythical creatures.  I'm not a big fan of unicorns or pegasi (although I am a fan of horses).

Dragons (Any kind)
Shape-shifters (I know a few. Nice kids.)
Eledragamels (Interesting creatures. Super friendly.)
Phoenixes (Dyslexic ones.)
Centaurs (A little snooty, but nice enough.)
Hippocampii (A little on the off side, but cute.)
Hippogriffs (Sharp claws. Fun to ride!)
Gryffons (Different from Griffons. Don't mix them up. It makes them angry. Angry gryffons are scary!)
Dryads, naiads, hamadryads, hamanaiads. (Love those guys!!! Their music is super pretty!)
Fauns (Jolly creatures... Good at making doughnuts.)
Oglympodalypse (The only one I know belongs to my cousin, but it's an adorable species...)
Boggarts (Actually the nickname for a frenemy of mine.)

There are a lot of mythical creatures I like. Gryphons are probably my favourite. Also like unicorns, phoenixes, dragons, Cerberus and so on!
