Speaking of the Nazis, I watched a film about Eichmann in psychology. It was quite interesting, but also really disturbing.

The way the Nazi regime was carried out is actually quite an interesting, if not frightening, thing to study.

So we watched the first Captain America last night on VidAngel.  You can watch and understand the three Captain America movies without watching any other Marvel films, right?  Just wanna make sure.

Noooo, just the first one will make sense. Winter Soldier, maybe. But you need to watching at least the Avengers 1&2 before seeing Civil War, because you will be totally lost. Civil War is more like Avengers 3.

Okay, so after The First Avenger, the optimal order would be Avengers 1, CA 2, Avengers 2, CA 3?

Yes, but that's not including the other Avengers. There's the Thor movies, too. And the Iron Man movies.
Just pretend there is something interesting and unique written here... I have nothing to say.

Well, I kinda know who those guys are already....  Urgh, this is getting more and more complicated.

Mm. And Tony's motivation for his actions in Age of Ultron come from Iron Man 3. And the overarching plot of the films is the Infinity Stones, which are formally introduced in Guardians.

On that note, has anyone seen the trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming? It looks so good! Tom Holland is the perfect Peter Parker.

Maybe I'll just consult Wikipedia about some of that stuff... :P

Trust me, you'll want to watch the movies.

@Jet the binturong yeah, I can't wait for that movie to come out. It looks great!

Thanks, Jet.

See, I just don't know if we'll be able to watch Iron Man, even with filters.  Or Avengers, for that matter.  Not sure what my mom will think about it.

Anyway, so at the very least, after the first Captain America, with a little background knowledge, I could watch and understand the Avengers/CA movies in their release order, right?

The Avengers are no more violent or suggestive than the CA movies.

You could watch the Avengers without seeing some of the other films. It won't all make great sense. But I've seen every marvel movie except the Thor and Doctor Strange movies, and I fully grasp what's going on. Watching Iron Man would greatly help you, as at least 4 characters from those films appear in the first Avengers.

But if you have enough background knowledge, you should be ok with just the CA movies and Avengers.

Yes! My brother barged in my room at 11 at night to show it to me. Vulture looks friggin' terrifying, and the whole Tony still leading him a bit is gonna feel nice, and certainly a much needed change from the past 5.
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.
