Also, I believe I have some permanent nerve damage. . . I can't feel most of that last joint on my finger.

That doesn't look to deep, its just over a large surface area of your finger. It shouldn't have hit any major nerves. Where you wearing a band aid over that area before you started to lose feeling or no ?

I usually try to wear leather work gloves whenever I'm sharpening knives on a belt sander (what I use it for- its the only sharpening method that I can get a hair shaving edge on a knife with) but seeing that its a strong motivator to wear gloves every time.

I know, it doesn't really look too bad, I'm just really surprised I lost feeling. And yes, I've been wearing a band-aid to protect it.
Yeah, I guess I should wear gloves more, but I've had them get caught before, and I can't feel the heat of the metal as quickly when I'm wearing them.

I am having to look through fashion collections to write about in an essay for college and the deadline is in two days and I have only a title and my brain is running out of my ears and nose because it can't take much more of this.
