What's Dark Fantasy? Never heard that one before. I'm guessing it's Fantasy with dark content?

   Dark fantasy is fantasy mixed with horror. Think Lovecraft rather than Tolkein. (Bad example, but if I said Bloodborne, Darkest Dungeon, and Diablo that wouldn't mean anything, so...)

I know of Bloodborne and Diablo. What horror elements are there in Redwall?

Have I already reread Skulduggery Pleasant? Yep.

Not always, no. But most of the children's fantasy I've read is pretty grim. Skulduggery Pleasant, The Books of Beginning, Bartimaeus, Inkworld, The Magisterium. Heck, even Harry Potter gets pretty twisted at times. Almost forgot His Dark Materials too, though I'm not entirely sure if that's classified as "children's" fantasy.
