I started out with Lord Brocktree, but I'm gonna have to confess that I read the first paragraph and stopped because I thought it was boring. Later my brother asked if I had tried it and I told him that it was boring. He then commanded me to go finish it. ;D And I'm glad he did!

NARDOLE; You are completely out of your mind!
DOCTOR: How is that news to anyone?

"I am Yomin Carr, the harbinger of doom. I am the beginning of the end of your people!" -Yomin Carr

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

It was pretty good, but not my favorite.

I like it, though it can get boring at times.

Yeah, I know, but for someone who's never read a Redwall book it's probably the best since it's not terribly violent (except for the Ungatt Trunn parts :P)

I think that the best one for them to understand would be either redwall or martin the warrior because they are not sequels to any other books in the series and there is nothing that would not have information on.

Gonff the Mousethief

I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Technically, Lord Brocktree is the first Redwall book.

There are actually several books that have sequels

long patrol is a distant sequel to redwall. It goes redwall, mattimeo, pearls of lutra, long patrol, and more according to the website

I would start with Mariel, but that's only because that is the one I started with, and fell in love with the series by the second chapter. Taggerung is my favorite, but Mariel is much better to start out with.

(By the way, Fireboy and Watergirl is a pretty awesome game.)
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Bitterly jittery, and not very glittery.
