what you should say is what crawls when it is a toddler, walks when it is a kid though adult, and walks with a walking stick when old.

My answer was better. 

Yes, but his answer was correct. It's supposed to be a brainwashing riddle. Here's a new one:

"In the dark I cannot see,

Retractable claws, long fangs, and wonderful camouflage,

I would say a tiger but i think they might see at night

Yup, it has to be some kind of cat. I looked it up and tigers can not see in the dark.
