Possibly true or not, the phrasing was disrespectful, again, especially if she's dead. If someone you knew vanished, would you say 'Oh well, they've probably been murdered and mutilated.' Do people refer to the deceased as a 'stiff husk?' No, they do not. It's accurate, but 'dearly departed' or 'deceased' or something along those lines is more respectful.

And that's assuming that she is dead- There's a good chance she isn't. It is, of course, possible, however it's equally possible that whoever she belongs to doesn't let her roam like that, or has moved away, or any number of things.

That depends entirely on how much one loves animals. Consider this, you have a baby nephew you've never met, you also have a cat which you've had for ten years, they both die, which do you miss more?
